Once Human has lots of weapons, so a tier list would be helpful if you want to think about what blueprint you should get next. The game offers various types of weapons to choose from: Pistols, Rifles, Submachine Guns, Shotguns, Sniper Rifles, Light Machine Guns, Crossbows, Heavy Weapons, and Melee.
This article will rank all the Legendary-rarity weapons in Once Human, as well as some of the meta Epic ones that are popular in the endgame meta.
Note: Your total damage output depends not only on your weapon but also on the synergy it shares with the rest of your loadout. This Once Human weapon tier list is based on what is considered meta. As such, it involves some degree of subjective bias.
Weapons tier list for Once Human
In this tier list, we have categorized all Once Human Legendary weapons (and some Epic-rarity ones) into five tiers, with S including the best ones and D the worst:
As a survival MMO, it is important that you have a weapon loadout that can help you deal with the various situations you face. With your opponents getting tougher in the higher-level areas, your arsenal will need to keep up in terms of DPS if you want to beat them.
You start out with a common crossbow and a machete, but you can soon move up in the world and get access to stronger guns through higher-rarity blueprints. You can craft these by scavenging resources scattered all around the map.
Each weapon included in this Once Human tier list comes with its own gimmicks or talents. As such, for each entry, we have suggested a specific perk-centric build that synergizes with them.
S-tier
The S-tier weapons on this tier list are the current meta. These come with build-defining perks such as Once Human's Frost Vortex. If you want the best DPS, try to craft these weapons as quickly as you can.
The KAM Abyss Glance is the best KAM series rifle in Once Human and the best choice for PvP, while the SOCR The Last Valor is the perfect pick for PvE.
With that in mind, here are the weapons in this tier:
- SOCR - The Last Valor: This weapon is PvE meta with its Shrapnel build at the moment.
- MPS7 - Outer Space: The Power Surge build for this SMG is one of the best PvE builds.
- KAM - Abyss Glance: The Frost Vortex build is meta in PvP, but it is great for PvE as well.
- Recursive Crossbow: While the Bulls Eye is not the best standalone perk to build around, it has auxiliary properties for other builds. Recursive Crossbow is a great choice for a secondary weapon in PvE as it can increase the Crit rate of all weapons by 30 percent for 10 seconds.
- DE.50 Jaws: Its Unstable Bomber build is comparable to the Frost Vortex build for PvP and is also one of the best builds for PvE.

A-tier
A-tier weapons are good alternatives if you do not have access to the S-tier ones. They're limited by specific use cases associated with their unique perks, and builds centered on these weapons cannot outperform the S-tier top brass. That said, these options are still decent enough to consider investing in:
- AWS.338 Bingo: It's a great sniper if you use it with the Bull's Eye build. This build for this weapon is a viable alternative to the Recursive Crossbow with the same build.
- KVD - Boom! Boom!: The Burn build for this LMG is great for PvE, but make sure to carry a lot of bullets as you will run out of ammo pretty quickly.
B-tier
The B-tier weapons are just average in terms of their stats. The weapons in the higher tiers can fulfill their niches and get the job done better than those included in the B-tier.
The options mentioned below can be used for the time being before you get better replacements. For example, SOCR Outsider is an easy-to-get weapon that will serve you well early on, but it does not scale well as the enemy levels start getting higher.
Here are the weapons in this tier:
- KV-SBR - Little Jaws: The Unstable Bomber build for this weapon is pretty good, but the DE.50 with the same build outperforms it. You also burn through your ammo quickly with the KV-SBR - Little Jaws.
- MPG - Predator: The Fast Gunner build for this LMG is what you want in PvE.
- R500 - Memento: Just like the MPG, the R500's Fast Gunner build is good for PvE.
- KV-SBR - Icy Rain: The Frost Vortex build for this weapon is ideal for it. However, it is one of the lower-end Frost Vortex builds in the game.
- SOCR - Outsider: The Power Surge build is what you need for this weapon. But, it is still one of the lower-end Power Surge builds, and the MPS7 outperforms it with the same build.
C-tier
C-tier weapons are still viable for gameplay, but they have some glaring issues you'll need to address. For instance, the Compound Bow is the strongest crossbow in the game. Except, a DE.50 Jaws can get the job done better without the reload downtime woes. It's still a good choice if you like the flavor of a simple one-shot weapon, as long as you have something else to cover you for bossing or sustained DPS.
- Compound Bow: The Unstable Bomber build for this crossbow is good, but not for every enemy. Although, it is up to you if you want to use it.
- MPS5 - Kumawink: This SMG does great AoE damage with the Bounce build.
- ACS 12 - Corrosion: Power Surge is the best build for it, but it's not very effective with a Shotgun.
- HAMR - Brahminy: Snipers are generally meant for bossing and single-target DPS, so having Bounce on this weapon seems like a baffling anti-synergy.
D-tier
The D-tier weapons on this Once Human tier list are not "bad" as such. So, they are still worth building. However, they do have usability issues. There's a reason that only the two Legendary shotguns are here. The high damage advertised on the can is truncated by their limited range, meaning the opportunity cost is too high to utilize them.
- DBSG - Doombringer: The Bull's Eye build is what you want to have for this weapon.
- DBSG - Raining Cash: The Fortress Warfare build is what you are aiming for.
This is all we have for the weapons tier list in Once Human. Keep in mind that weapon tier lists are subjective by definition as the meta regularly changes. This tier list is a broader guideline, with which you can find out which weapons are meta and the best choices for you to pick.
