Once Human: What to do with Extra Deviants?

In Once Human, you can get a lot of Deviants as companions while you are out exploring the wilderness, and completing all kinds of missions. While doing so, you have the chance of getting the same Deviants more than once. While it is useful to have a couple of the same Deviants that gather or craft resources, you won't be able to keep all the extra Deviants with you.

In this article, we will talk about what you can do with the extra Deviants that you get in the free-to-play survival MMO, Once Human.

In Once Human, if you have extra Deviants that craft and collect resources, like the Digby Boy, Paper Doll, Gingerbread House, etc., you can always put more than one of them in an Isolated Securement Unit. If you do that, you will have more of them working, and as a result, you will be able to passively farm more resources like Ores, scrap materials, and so on.

But keep in mind that the maximum number of Isolated Securement Units that you can have is 20. So it would be preferable if you just keep a couple of resource collecting Deviants in them, as you will need space to put in other Deviants.

When it comes to Combat Deviants like the Butterfly's Emissary, the Mini Feaster, and so on, you do not need to have more than one of them. Keep the one with the highest skill rating with you. With the extra Deviants left with you, you can do the following things:

1) Trade them via the Vending Machine

You can trade Deviants through the Vending Machine in Once Human. Keep in mind that you cannot sell the Deviants directly through the Vending machine. You have to use them as currency for other items in the game.

As shown in the picture above, players might list items like a Stardust Source and ask for a Deviant in exchange. You can go there and then trade your extra Deviants for an item you want.

2) Sell them for Astral Sand on the Island Shop

The best way to get rid of your extra Deviants is by going to Eternaland and selling them on the Island Shop for Astral Sand. You need Astral Sand for building and crafting things in Eternaland.

Once you go to Eternaland, press 'F8' to go to the Island Shop and then select the sell option. All your items, including the Deviants, will be listed there, and you can sell the Deviants for 500 Astral Sand.

You also have the choice to just give your extra Deviants to other players or discard them in Once Human. But trading them via the Vending Machine or selling them for Astral Sand are the two best ways, as you can get important items in exchange.
