Once Human: When is the next server wipe?

Server wipe is a necessary step for large-scale live service games like Once Human. For the uninitiated, server wipes are server-wide purges performed by developers to clear the field for a new season of content. After each server wipe, players lose all their in-game progress, starting everything from scratch once again.

We understand that server wipes are not pleasant. Seeing everything you've worked for being erased can be a source of frustration. However, if you plan, you can potentially minimize the impact as much as possible. The next server wipe in Once Human will happen on August 20, 2024. Note that server wipes are scheduled for every six weeks.

In each server wipe in Once Human, you will lose your character, weapons, armor, and resources. You will also lose all the structures and buildings you had crafted in the game world. Essentially, each wipe will take you back to square one, making you work for everything all over again. However, there is a silver lining.

After each wipe, while you may lose a significant portion of your progress and possessions, you still retain a small portion of your belongings. This includes your cosmetic items, blueprints, mods, and some other backpack items. After each server wipe in Once Human, you must create a new character.

The developers, Starry Studio, have outlined their vision for the game's seasonal structure. According to their official statement, after each season, characters and their progress will be transferred to Eternaland, which is still under development.

From there, players will have the flexibility to select which pieces of equipment and other resources they wish to carry forward into the next season. However, the items available for selection will be based on that season's specific rules.

The first wipe, which will also serve as the template for future resets, is anticipated to occur approximately six weeks after the game's launch. Based on this information, the next server wipe is likely to be on August 20, 2024. However, there is a possibility that this date may change due to the recent release of the game or any other unforeseen reasons.
