Palworld Grenade Launcher: How to get, best uses, and is it any good?

The Grenade Launcher was added to Palworld with the Sakurajima update. The game features a lot of weapons to choose from, with some of the strongest being late-game ventures. The Grenade Launcher is one such weapon, as to get it, you will require a lot of rare crafting materials that are hard to acquire early on in your Palworld journey.

With that in mind, this article will provide everything you need to know about the Grenade Launcher in the game, including how to unlock it, its crafting recipe, best uses, and more.

How to get the Grenade Launcher in Palworld

To use the Launcher in this game, first unlock this weapon from the Technology Tab using Technology Points. You can access the Launcher upon reaching level 55.

Reaching level 53 can be quite a feat on its own. You will need an astronomical amount of Experience Points to reach this level in Palworld. One of the best ways to farm XP is by catching Pals.

Palworld Grenade Launcher crafting recipe

After unlocking it, you will require the following items to craft the Launcher in this game:

75 Pal Metal Ingots
80 Plasteel
60 Carbon Fiber

Once you craft it, you must acquire Launcher Ammo to make this weapon shine and live up to its glory on Palpagos Island as well as the brand-new Sakurajima Island. You will need the following crafting materials for the Launcher Ammo:

1 Pal Metal Ingot
20 Fiber
3 Gunpowder

Once you have all the necessary crafting materials, head over to the Weapon Assembly Line II, select the Launcher from the list of items, and proceed with the crafting.

It is advisable to have a Pal with Handiwork Work Suitability to help speed up the process of crafting the Launcher. Anubis is a great worker Pal for this purpose. Furthermore, you will need electricity to run the Weapon Assembly Line II. So, you must have a generator up and running in your base with a Pal with Electric Generation as its Work Suitability.

Is the Grenade Launcher in Palworld any good?

The Launcher does a damage of 3,000 when it is right in front of the enemy. However, as you move away from the target, the damage dealt to the enemies falls off. It is good to deal AOE damage to large groups of enemies but it is not ideal for single-target units, as you might choke your aim or the enemies might dodge the grenades projected at them.

Palworld already has better explosive weapons, like the Grenade Mark II, which does a huge amount of damage and you can still have another primary weapon like the Assault Rifle or the Laser Gun.
