The absence of a Palworld PlayStation version has been a reason for contention in the community. While the game is currently only available on PC and Xbox, the developers have already announced a Mac port, which is due to arrive sometime in 2024. But a PS port remains elusive.

When Palworld initially launched in January 2024, there was a lot of clamor from fans to bring the game to PS platforms. One such tweet also got a response from Shuhei Yoshida, who simply said "Yes" to the request. Nevertheless, nothing more was heard about such a port.

That is until the recent tease from Palworld's community manager.

Palworld PlayStation release may be in the pipelines

@Bucky_cm, the Global Community Manager at Pocketpair, posted on X on June 23, 2024, that many in the community took as a tease for an upcoming PlayStation port release. The first line of the post contained the game name surrounded on each side by three hearts, colored black, green, and white.

It then goes on to say:

"I want to add more hearts, but not sure what colour would fit...hmm...how about...."

The post again writes Palworld, but this time the word has four hearts on each side, colored black, green, white, and blue. @Bucky_cm concludes the tweet by stating, "Looks good I think!" For reference, we assume the following color scheme:

  • Black - PC
  • Green - Xbox
  • White - Mac
  • Blue - PS

Pocketpair's survival title has quickly become hugely popular with its take on monster-catching and monster-taming. On Steam, it posted an all-time concurrent player peak of 2,101,867. The recent Sakurajima update brought a new island, Pals, weapons, skills, and more into the mix.

With all that happening in Palworld, it remains to be seen when a PS port is finally confirmed by Pocketpair. Till then, PlayStation players can try out these five games instead.
