With the new Palworld Sakurajima update, a ton of new features have been added including a new vendor called the Medal Merchant. This rare shopkeeper sells equally rare loot that players will want to get their hands on. Ranging from items and gear to Elixirs that make the protagonist stronger, there are many choices. However, tracking him down to avail of his wares is not so easy.

This guide details everything players need to know about the Medal Merchant, including his spawn locations, wares, and more. Read on for full details.

Where to find the Medal Merchant in Palworld?

Unlike other vendors in the game, Medal Merchants spawn randomly - and only in churches or ruins. In my save, I found one in the Forgotten Island Church Ruins, just northeast of the base I had established there. These vendors look similar to a Black Marketeer but with a golden outfit instead, reflecting the kind of currency they accept. Speaking of money, Medal Merchants only accept Dog Coins in Palworld.

These are a new type of currency introduced alongside the new Sakurajima update, and getting them can be tedious as the goodies are expensive. In short, they drop primarily from a new kind of Pal called a Mimog which looks like a chest. Scattered around various common areas of the overworld, the health bars for these Pals do not pop up unless they are attacked.

They can easily blend into the environment unless players are explicitly on the hunt for them. Even then, they can flee easily once attacked so players must try to trap them using Palworld's in-depth crafting mechanics by constructing walls around the Mimog before engaging with it.

Defeating one will net players Dog Coins (referred to as Gold in-game) to use at the Medal Merchant. Here's what the shopkeeper has in store with their associated buying cost:
