Redditor Rude_Watercress_5737 is now the world's first player to get 100% Atlas completion in Path of Exile 2, but they had some external help. As exhibited across various posts, screenshots, and video evidence, their Atlas simply cannot progress any further because all unattempted nodes at the edge are unreachable.
In truth, it's a glass-half-full way of looking at a game-breaking bug, and Path of Exile 2 players are fortunate this bug is not all that common.
Is it possible to reach 100% completion with the Atlas in Path of Exile 2?
The short answer is no, you cannot complete the Atlas in Path of Exile 2.
Even though the layout on the overworld map looks similar across all accounts, the Atlas has a randomized seed for every player. Everyone gets roughly the same number of nodes around each Precursor Tower, but the pathing and map archetypes are completely random.
Moreover, as you keep revealing more of the map and completing new nodes, more keep popping up indefinitely.
This was also the case with Rude_Watercress_5737. Their progression wasn't bricked because they had a finite Atlas, but because a bug in their seed generated the pathing in such a way that there were no connective nodes to progress to new ones.
To make matters worse, the Atlas is reportedly League-bound, meaning all other characters in that League type (i.e., Standard softcore trade League at the time of writing) would run into the same barricade when they get to mapping.

For those unfortunate few to encounter this bug in its current form, the path forward is limited to a couple options: first, to try SSF or Hardcore (or potentially SSF Hardcore if you're feeling extra masochistic), and second, to wait for the first Challenge League to arrive a few months later.
