Path of Exile 2 players can now utilize Filterblade, the most popular centralized loot-filter tool for the first game. Created by Neversink and three other hobbyist developers, this website has been the go-to looter-filter solution for the Path of Exile 1 community for many years now, and finally it is functional on the sequel.

NeverSink's team recreated this customizable loot filter in its old charm in the new game after "multiple months of work" and "hundreds of combined hours."

How to set up Filterblade for your Path of Exile 2 copy

At its core, Filterblade is simply a loot filter for Path of Exile 2 like any other. If you were already using the beta copies of Neversink's POE2 loot filters from Github this last month, it will be quite similar.

There are two catches in Filterblade: the first is customizability, and the second is the fact that you can import it directly into your game via your Path of Exile Forum account. To do the latter, you'll have to authorize Filterblade's access to your account:

  • Go to Filterblade.xyz and select "Sign in with PoE" at the top right
  • After you are taken to Path of Exile forum, log in if you haven't already, and then authorise the connection.
  • The original Filterblade window will display "Login started in new window. Please keep this window open and complete the login in that new window."
  • Wait till a secondary window pops up with "Login successful, please refresh your original window and use the blue auto-save box to load your changes again." At this point, you can reload Filterblade and you'll be logged in.

Once you are in, you can click "Create new Filter" to get started. Don't forget to choose "PoE2" next to "Profile" on top first, though. There are seven broader layers of strictness you can select, which will determine how much of the low-value loot gets filtered out. In other words, the stricter filters are meant for later into the game, including various stages of mapping.

Once you've selected and customized your loot filter, click "Export to POE", name it, and then Sync or Download. Save and Sync uploads it directly to your your game, while the Download option is a more legacy solution same as the Github version you may have used before. The latter does not require you to log into Filterblade using your account.

Like any other loot filter, you have to enable it from Settings > Game > Item Filters.
