Path of Exile 2 The Lost Lute quest guide

Towards the end of Act I in Path of Exile 2, Una will ask you to help her with an issue, granting you The Lost Lute quest. Her instrument is somewhere in the Ogham Fields, although she has no idea where. Since this is one of the biggest maps in Act I, it can be frustrating to find: almost like looking for a needle in a haystack. That is unless you know what kind of location you’re looking for.

Even though the maps are randomized, there’s something you can look for to make your search for The Lost Lute easier in Path of Exile 2. You’ll likely wind up with this quest after defeating Lachlann of Endless Lament if you pick it up in Clearfell Encampment.

Completing The Lost Lute quest in Path of Exile 2

While just a side quest, The Lost Lute is one of Path of Exile 2’s most important side quests in Act I. It gives you one of your stat-boosting quest rewards — in this case, Skill Points. Plus, Una’s one of the nicer people you’ll meet in the game, so why not help her out and find her Lute?

To get it, you’ll first need to travel through the Cemetery of the Eternal, into the Hunting Grounds, and finally, reach Ogham Fields. Ogham Fields is a gigantic farmland map blocked off by the occasional wall. In my experience of doing this quest a few times, The Lost Lute in PoE 2 is typically towards the middle of the map.

Personally, I comb the map from top to bottom, from the right, going left. This is to ensure I don’t miss anything. Moreover, I get a ton of experience from slaughtering the various enemy packs on this PoE 2 map. While it may sound like a difficult item to find, The Lost Lute is actually pretty simple to locate.

Look for a large, thatch-roofed hut that has a Checkpoint outside of it. That’s how you know you’re in the right place. Then, walk inside, interact with Una’s Lute Box, get the item, and return to Clearfell Encampment.

She will thank you, and end Path of Exile 2’s The Lost Lute quest by giving you a Book of Specialisation — granting you two free Weapon Set Passive Skill Points. You can always use more skill points, so this quest is a must-complete.
