Path of Exile 2’s Warrior class wields a mace, whether they want to tank or simply bulldoze through all enemies in their path. A primarily melee-focused class, they can serve a few functions in your group, and all of them are destructive. Though there’s a lot to be said for going mace-and-board, and blocking incoming damage - at least, damage that’s coming at them head-on.

The Warrior class’s Mace skills can be used by anyone, provided they have the right stats and the correct weapon equipped in Path of Exile 2. If you just want to be a powerful, nigh-unstoppable juggernaut, this is the class for you.

Warrior skills aid Path of Exile 2 players as they smash and crush their way through any opposition on the battlefield. With abilities that power them up, and break down their opponent’s armor, they can defend others, while also decimating the forces of evil. Combine this with their amazing Ascension options, and it won’t be hard to become an unstoppable force of violence in Path of Exile 2.

Note that there are skills missing from this list, as they were not in the game as of our Early Access time. Should more Warrior skills be added to Path of Exile, we’ll add them here.

All skills unlocked with Uncut Gem Level 1

  • Earthquake: Smashes the ground, dealing damage in an area and leaving behind Jagged Ground that slows enemies. The Jagged Ground erupts in a powerful Aftershock after a duration. Cannot create Jagged Ground on top of an existing patch, or if you already have the maximum number of active patches. (Tags: AoE, Melee, Slam, Duration)
  • Boneshatter: Attacks enemies with a melee Strike. The Strike will cause a Heavy Stun on enemies that are Primed for Stun. Upon causing a Heavy Stun, it will also create a Shockwave, dealing a large amount of damage in an area. (Tags: AoE, Melee, Strike)
  • Rolling Slam: Slam the Ground to Stun enemies and knock them away, then continue forward and perform a devastating second Slam. Holding down the skill input allows you to change direction as you move. (Tags: AoE, Melee, Slam)

All skills unlocked with Uncut Gem Level 3

  • Armour Breaker: Attack with a forceful blow, knocking enemies back and weakening their Armour. (Tags: AoE, Melee, Strike, Physical)
  • Shockwave Totem: Raises a Totem that Slams the ground around it, repeatedly damaging nearby enemies. Jagged Ground erupts when hit by this Slam, damaging enemies standing on it. (Tags: Totem, AoE, Melee, Slam, Physical, Duration, Nova)
  • Infernal Cry: Performs a warcry, Empowering subsequent Attacks. Consumes all Endurance Charges to Empower additional attacks. Enemies in the warcry’s area are destabilized and will Combust on death. (Tags: AoE, Trigger, Fire, Duration)
  • Shield Charge: Channel to charge in the target direction. You will crash into enemies on your path, stopping your charge and dealing damage to enemies in an area, and extra damage to the enemies you collided with. While charging, your Shield is raised and you will Block all incoming Blockable hits. (Tags: AoE, Melee, Physical, Channelling, Travel)

All skills unlocked with Uncut Gem Level 5

  • Perfect Strike: Charge up your weapon while channeling. Releasing the moment you fully charge will release a wave of Fire. (Tags: AoE, Melee, Strike, Fire, Duration, Channelling)
  • Molten Blast: Gouges molten rock from the ground and flings it at the target. The projectile explodes on collision, damaging enemies and scattering shrapnel in a cone behind it. (Tags: AoE, Projectile, Fire)
  • Resonating Shield: Repeatedly strike your Shield with your weapon causing damaging shockwaves in an area around you. Enemies hit by the shockwave lose Armour for a duration. While using Resonating Shield, your Shield is raised, and you will Block all incoming Blockable hits. (Tags: AoE, Melee, Sustained, Physical, Channelling)

All skills unlocked with Uncut Gem Level 7

  • Leap Slam: Jump into the air, damaging and Knocking Back enemies with your mace where you land. Enemies you would land on are pushed out of the way. (Tags: AoE, Melee, Slam, Travel, Payoff)
  • Earthshatter: Slam the ground, sending out a fissure that deals area damage to enemies it passes under and thrusts a spike from the ground when it ends. Warcries performed near the spike will cause it to shatter, damaging surrounding enemies. (Tags: AoE, Melee, Slam, Duration)
  • Shield Wall: Ram your Shield into the ground, throwing up a semi-circular wall of earth. Enemies can attack the walls and your Slams will instantly destroy them. Each wall segment explodes when destroyed, damaging enemies around it. (Tags: AoE, Physical, Duration)

All skills unlocked with Uncut Gem Level 9

  • Sunder: Slams the ground, creating a roiling fissure that damages enemies in a sequence of areas in front of you. Some enemies hit by the wave will release a shockwave, damaging other enemies (Tags: AoE, Melee, Slam, Payoff)
  • Volcanic Fissure: Slam the ground, creating a winding fissure that deals damage as it travels and remains for a duration. Using a different Slam on a fissure will cause an Aftershock, which spreads to all connected fissures. (Tags: AoE, Melee, Slam, Sustained, Fire, Duration)

All skills unlocked with Uncut Gem Level 11

  • Seismic Cry: Performs a damaging warcry, Knocking Back nearby enemies. If a Heavy Stunned enemy is hit, your next Slam is Empowered to perform an additional Aftershock. If not, this skill’s cooldown is reset. Only counts Heavily Stunned enemies for purposes of counting Power Gained. (Tags: AoE, Physical, Duration)
  • Supercharged Slam: Channel to charge up a heavy swing, drawing earth from the ground to enlarge your mace. Release to Slam the ground, dealing damage in an area around the impact, followed by Aftershocks dealing damage in a larger area. (Tags: AoE, Melee, Slam, Channelling)
  • Stampede: Charges forward, cracking the earth and leaving a patch of Jagged Ground with every footstep. At the end of your charge, a massive leaping Slam damages enemies and causes all nearby patches of Jagged Ground to explode, damaging enemies standing on them. (Tags: AoE, Melee, Slam, Duration, Travel)

All skills unlocked with Uncut Gem Level 13

  • Ancestral Warrior Totem: Raises a Totem that uses socketed Mace Skills. Cannot use Channelling Skills or Skills with Cooldowns. (Tags: Totem, AoE, Melee, Physical, Duration, Meta)
  • Hammer of the Gods: Entreats the Ancestors to crush your enemies, manifesting a massive hammer that falls from the sky onto your target, Slamming into the ground after a short duration, and dealing immense damage based on your weapon. (Tags: AoE, Melee, Slam, Duration)

One of the nice things about Warrior skills in Path of Exile 2, is that their totems do not require Spirit. This is likely because they are temporary, and don’t stay in battle for too long. Were these to persist and move around, that might change, but that’s not possible. If you’re familiar with Barbarians in Diablo 4, then you will likely be familiar with PoE 2’s Warrior. There’s certainly some overlap.

As with all skill gems in Path of Exile 2, Warriors can level theirs up by using a Skill Gem of the lower level. So a Level 7 gem could level up any skill between levels 1 through 6. You can use this to your advantage to power up a variety of important skills, making them much more efficient in combat.
