Path of Exile 2: Sisters of Garukhan side objective, explained

Path of Exile 2 offers a staggering number of hidden encounters and challenges, the bulk of which feature powerful adversaries who drop unique loot and bonuses. While some encounters are simple to access, others are easy to overlook. The Sisters of Garukhan is easy to miss but rewards you with +10% Lightning Resistance as a permanent buff. That is great because you'll need a lot of Lightning Resistance in the second portion of Act 2.

Most of the caster foes at this point in the game, including Jamanra, the final boss, employ pure Lightning Damage spells.

Where to find Sisters of Garukhan in Path of Exile 2

In both the Standard and Cruel modes of Act 2 in Path of Exile 2, the Sisters of Garukhan can be encountered in one of the pillars inside the Spires of Deshar.

Since every map in this game is randomly generated, and there is no set path to find the Sisters of Garukhan. You can locate it by conducting a thorough search of the surrounding area.

Once you reach the shrine (shown in the image provided above), prepare for a fight. Walk up to the shrine and interact with it. However, as soon as you touch it, the metal statues surrounding it will come to life and start attacking you.

How to clear Sisters of Garukhan in Spires of Deshar

The Sisters of Garukhan encounter features a large mob of Kinarha that will attack and try to overwhelm you with their numbers. This challenge will test your mobility to traverse the round arena avoiding the constant pincer movements. Using an AoE (Area of Effect) attack is the easiest way to clear a large number of mobs, as their sheer number will cause them to group closely together.

Here are some things to keep in mind for this encounter:

• Resistances - Strong against Physical, Cold, and Fire attacks
• Weaknesses - Vulnerable to Lightning damage
• Damage Type - Deals Physical damage
• Debuffs - No debilitating effects to worry about

Once you finish an act in Path of Exile 2, you get a 10% debuff on every elemental resistance. After Act 1, you will be at -10% Lightning Resistance. After getting the +10% Lightning Resistance from the Sisters of Garukhan in Act 2, you will be at zero in the Lightning Resistance stat.

If you clear the Sisters of Garukhan encounter in the Cruel difficulty mode, you will get another +10% Lightning Resistance. This +20 Lightning Resistance will reduce the total debuff your character receives after finishing Acts 2 and 3 in PoE 2.

Can you beat Sisters of Garukhan after you've defeated Tor Gul in Path of Exile 2?

Yes, you can beat the Sisters of Garukhan encounter after defeating Tor Gul the Defiler, a physical, fire, and poison-affiliated boss. Once the latter is defeated, you can return to the Ardura Caravan to sell the loot you have collected.

Before leaving the zone to go to the Dreadnaught, make sure to locate the Sisters of Garukhan by searching the Spires of Deshar thoroughly. This side objective is always guaranteed to spawn in Path of Exile 2, so even if you've left the region and the instance of the map has been reset, you can still find it on a new instance.

To save time, you can narrow down the potential location of the Sisters of Garukhan by trying to untertake this encounter during the same session that you defeat Tor Gul the Defiler.
