The Hexblast Mines Trickster is one of the strongest builds you can use in the Path of Exile 3.25 league. Given how powerful the build has been in past leagues it's actually surprising that Grinding Gear Games chose not to nerf or change it. With the melee rework and other changes implemented in Settlers of Kalguur, this setup is now even stronger than before.
In this article, we're going to go step-by-step on how to build, gear, and level the Hexblast Mines Trickster build.
Path of Exile 3.25 Hexblast Mines Trickster build breakdown: Skill rotation and tips
The Hexblast Mines Trickster is not a particularly difficult build to use but it can be a bit confusing to understand at first. Thankfully when you're in late-game you can take advantage of the Automation gem to simplify the setup greatly.
The core of this build involves using the Hexblast ability with a High-Impact Mine support gem. This will make your Hexblast cast as if it were a mine, the detonation of which will cast the spell from where it landed. This playstyle allows you to reach a point where you are able to cover the screen in mines and watch mobs are cleared effortlessly.
Other than your main combat ability Hexblast, you'll want to use Wither paired with the Spell Totem support gem to increase damage. The rest of your build is made up of utility and defensive skills such as Bear Trap, Frostblink, Skitterbots, and Grace.

Pros and cons of Hexblast Mines Trickster build in Path of Exile 3.25
Of all the advantages this build has in Path of Exile Settlers of Kalguur the most prominent is that it is incredibly strong. Unlike many builds, this one can handle both maps and bosses equally well.
At high levels of play this build will be capable of filling your screen almost entirely with its trademark purple lasers. The combat will also be nearly fully automated, meaning you only need to focus on staying out of enemy attacks.
The two main downsides of this build are the complication of getting it built for the end-game and the leveling process. The support gems needed for this build to work are extremely specific, and if you slot the wrong ones, you may break it entirely. This build may also feel unintuitive or unenjoyable at very low levels. The core of what makes this build fun and strong is dependant on skills and gems you will not have until late in the league.

Path of Exile Hexblast Mines Trickster leveling guide: Skills to use in the early and mid-game
When you first start building a Hexblast Mines Trickster in Path of Exile, you'll have to rely on Stormblast Mines and Pyroclast Mines to level. The former is available from the start and the latter should be available around level 28. You'll have to detonate these manually, which may be difficult at first if you've never played a mines build.
Other skills you can use as you obtain them are Orb of Storms, Bear Trap, Flammability, and Shield Charge. These should provide you with extra damage through debuffs as well as survivability through defense and movement.

Once you've reached a mid-game point, you will have been able to access Hexblast and linked it with the High-Impact Mine gem. You'll also want to link it with Minefield, Charged Mines, Increased Critical Strikes, and Void Manipulation. You should have access to all of these support gems, and they will greatly increase your clearing power.
Another skill to have at this point is Wither, which must be linked with Spell Totem and, if possible, also with Multiple Totems. You are also now able to link Automation to Detonate Mines and should do so immediately.
