Path of Exile has just announced a reset for their ongoing Settlers of Kalguur league with a small twist and additional rewards. This reset comes alongside the announcements of an approximately three-week delay, with Path of Exile 2's Early Access pushed back to December 6, 2024, and Path of Exile's next 3.26 expansion being pushed back to 2025.
Path of Exile's Settlers of Kalguur is a unique league focusing less on combat and more on the game's existing NPCs and locations. This league allows players to embark on the founding and upkeep of the city of Kingsmarch. Aside from the league content, Path of Exile's Update 3.25 brought plenty of major changes to the title, including the much-awaited melee rework, in-game trading posts, and more.
What to expect from Path of Exile Settlers of Kalguur league reset
Fundamentally, players can expect mostly the same content from the reset event. This event will run parallel to the league and have minor changes affecting the event-specific parameters.
In the Settlers of Kalguur reset event, players will encounter all the Settler's League content, such as collecting resources, upgrading the city, maintaining it from pirates, and trading goods with other regional ports. For their plight, players will get a free Settler's Mystery Box upon level 50.
But the real kicker is the unexpected return of the Necropolis league, albeit in a diminished format. During the event, entering a new zone will lead to the appearance of the Lantern of Arimor, with powerful mods to imbue into the individual packs of monsters. These monster packs will only have beneficial modifiers and will provide a substantial boost to loot drops.
The Settlers of Kalguur league event is very reminiscent of Last Epoch's Imperial Upsiring event. Those who have yet to complete their Settlers League challenges for the corresponding cosmetic rewards, can easily do so during this event.
Here are some quick reference points regarding the event:
- The event will run on all platforms.
- The event will begin at 1 PM PST on November 7, 2024.
- The event will run for Standard, Softcore, Hardcore, Solo Self-Found or SSF, and Solo Self-Found Hardcore or SSFHC.
- Characters from the event will not be voided and will be added to the Standard roster
- Necropolis crafting will not be available.
- Players who have already unlocked every item from the Settlers Kalguur Mystery Box will receive two Polaris Mystery Boxes as compensation.
- The event participants will need to make a new character.
- The event will feature a completely fresh economy and ladder reset.
- There are no Private Leagues for this event.
It's unclear whether this event is the only one for the holiday season as Grinding Gear Games usually holds temporary events with ludicrous modifiers. However, with Path of Exile 2's early access arriving in early December 2024, those chances look slim.
