With a new wave of players joining the game, Pax Dei is witnessing a boom in popularity. To address the growing player base of the MMORPG, the devs at Mainframe Industries are introducing two new server shards: Sif for North America (NA) and Bran for Europe (EU). With these new servers, the devs look forward to giving the players enough space to play comfortably.

This article discusses everything we know so far about the shards Sif and Bran, newly launched in Pax Dei.

When will the new servers launch in Pax Dei?

The shards — Sif for North America and Bran for Europe, will go live on Friday, January 10, 2025, at 2:00 a.m. PST (5:00 a.m. EST). Both servers are standard and are not designated as roleplay (RP) servers.

This expansion comes as a response to the growing player density on existing servers, Apollo (NA) and Mimir (EU), where the availability of housing plots has become limited, making it challenging for newcomers to settle and begin their journey.

To assist players moving to the new shards, Mainframe Industries has implemented a temporary transfer policy available until January 31, 2025. However, transfers are subject to certain eligibility criteria. Players wishing to transfer must ensure their characters meet the following conditions:

  • The character must not belong to a clan or party.
  • The character must not own a building plot.

When transferring, progression and inventory items will be carried over to the new shard. However, items tied to dismantled or abandoned plots will not transfer. It’s important to note that transfers are region-locked, meaning players from the NA region can only transfer to Sif, and EU players can only transfer to Bran.

The transfer process is manual and requires players to contact Pax Dei customer support. However, Mainframe is working to develop an automated system for server transfers, which will make this process more convenient in the future.

Mainframe Industries is constantly working to enhance the gameplay experience with planned updates and improvements. The studio is also working on better systems to identify and clear unused plots to make sure active players have more opportunities to claim a space for their adventures.
