Warframe 1999, the most anticipated update for the F2P Looter-Shooter this year, has a playable demo out right now. There are no Early Access hassles here, you can log in and play it for free right away. A cinematic story update meant to progress the main story, Warframe 1999 takes the player to Hollvania, somewhere on Earth in the game's alt-history version of 1999.
A public-access demo for the game is a first. With this, a few players are feeling lost on how to start the demo, or what it covers. Worry not, for we have got you covered.
How to start the Warframe 1999 demo
To start the Warframe 1999 demo, go to your Orbiter and look at the new console that appears to the right of your Navigation panel. This is where the Conclave console used to be, which has since been turned into a placeable decoration.
After you interact with this Techrot-infested console, you'll be prompted with a message box displaying the reward for completing the demo: the Protokol Longsword Skin.

What's in the Warframe 1999 demo?
The Warframe 1999 demo is essentially an exterminate mission. You are tasked with killing 91 enemies of around lvl 40. These are the new Scaldra units, one of the new factions coming with the update.
You also get access to the Atomicycle, which handles similarly to K-drive (except it's quite hard to get knocked off the bike). Press X (PC) to get off the vehicle and shoot some Scaldra.
The weapons include the previously showcased AX-52, the Protokol Longsword (which has a relatively unique moveset), and Vesper 77 sidearm. All in all, the whole thing can take as little as five minutes, but you can also take the opportunity to explore and appreciate the unique look of the Hollvania tileset.
The demo can be played again at any time by interacting with the console on your Orbiter.
