Red Tape is one of the seven new episodic weapons released with Destiny 2 Revenant Act I. This Lightweight Framed Scout Rifle shoots Stasis damage at 200 rounds per minute. However, players aren't strangers to this archetype, as there have been numerous Scout Rifles released alongside different elements and perks.

However, Stasis is the main topic of Episode Revenant, and the brand-new Red Tape stands with the perfect fire rate and element for synergy. This article lists the best perks to get on the Red Tape Scout Rifle from Episode Revenant for both PvE and PvP.

Note that none of the seasonal weapons in Episode Revenant are craftable, making the 'chase-for-perks' viable once again. Hence, players must depend on their luck and get the best perks only via drops from seasonal activities or quest rewards.

The following perks are recommended on the new Red Tape Scout Rifle for Destiny 2 PvE:

Arrowhead Brake for increased Handling and recoil control
Tactical Mag for increased Stability, Reload Speed, and Stability
Rimestealer for getting Frost Armor buff after destroying a Stasis crystal, or defeating a frozen target
Headstone for creating a Stasis crystal after defeating a target with a precision hit

This combination is perfect with Stasis builds, as certain Fragments will help players get increased buffs from Stasis crystals, alongside the Frost Armor buff from the weapon itself.

For a more sustained approach, the combination of Fourth Time's the Charm and Focused Fury can dish out a lot of damage. Note that the activation of Fourth Time's the Charm's ammo return does not affect Focused Fury's half-mag damage. Hence, you can easily get the value of both perks by landing continuous precision shots on an elite or mini-boss.

The following perks are recommended on the new Red Tape Scout Rifle for PvP:

Polygonal Rifling for increased Stability on the weapon
Accurized Rounds for more Range on the weapon
Keep Away for increased Accuracy, Reload Speed, and Range when no enemies are nearby
Explosive Payload for increased flinching on enemies in PvP

Rampage is another damage perk to have, alongside Closing Time for increased Range and Accuracy with a lower magazine.

Red Tape is a seasonal weapon from Destiny 2 Revenant that cannot be crafted by any means. Instead, you must run seasonal activities and quests to get one weapon as a drop.

Additionally, you can craft the blue "Tonic of Weaponry" buff to get a chance at seasonal weapon drop from any activity.
