What can we expect from Rust force wipe for January 2025?

A brand-new force wipe in Rust paves the path for new opportunities in the game. As the update rolls in, players will lose all the previous progress that they have accumulated throughout the last month.

Each server in the game will be freshly wiped. If players have accumulated blueprints, or made bases on any official, community, or even modded server, these structures and saved progress will be deleted to make way for the latest update. Players will have to restart their grind, and if the last wipe was not favorable, they can turn the tides this time around.

Players can expect newly generated procedural maps for all servers. This will allow them to choose new build-sites of their choice, and assert dominance over preferred servers. Furthermore, the newly generated maps will include unique structures such as anvil rocks, god rocks, oases, oceans, massive rivers, canyons, and more.

The latest staging branch showcase indicates that players could see the addition of reworked horses in the game. They have been a major point of contention, and Facepunch Studios might finally implement the necessary changes to make them a viable form of transport in the game. Solo players and small groups could massively benefit from this minor quality-of-life update.

Last but not least, players might also see the addition of siege weapons with the latest Rust force wipe for January. These craftable entities could be used during online raids and cause mass destruction. This might revolutionize raiding and make it quite competitive.
