What is the Travelling Vendor in Rust?
The Travelling Vendor is among the latest additions with the Rust Road Renegades update for July 4, 2024. He will only spawn on maps featuring ring roads, essentially those that are procedurally sized 4000 units or more.
The Travelling Vendor, per the patch notes, will traverse the roads of the game offering items on sale. Each time he spawns, he will feature a unique collection of items at different prices.
Players might also get the option to avail discounts through Travelling Vendors. It must be noted that Travelling Vendors have an eight-meter Safe Zone range.
Dynamic Vendor Pricing
With the latest update, the static stores in Outpost and even Bandit Camp will see a range of dynamic prices. Essentially, the NPC Vending system will feature item variety, and better yet, discounts on different items.
Items that are sold below the average point of the NPC market system will feature major discounts. On the other hand, items that are popularly sought by players might see inflated prices, and in some cases, surge up to 200%.
This system will keep updating every six hours, providing players with an opportunity to track the markets and make the most profit with the least amount of effort.
Motorbikes and Bicycles in Rust Road Renegades update
The Road Renegades update has introduced two affordable forms of transport in Rust, namely the Motorbike and the Bicycle. Both can be found spawning in Monuments and other tiny points of interest on the map.
