The First Descendant: All Void Intercept bosses and how to unlock them

The end-game of The First Descendant thrives largely on its Void Intercept Battles. Throughout the main campaign of this game, there are story bosses from the Vulgas like Eterllick, but the Void Intercept bosses are standalone showdowns with hulking Colossi, instanced and accessed separately. These boss fights are the fastest way to open Amorphous Materials and get Descendant blueprints, making them essential for progression.

There are a total of eight Void Intercept bosses in The First Descendant, and three more that are exclusive to the Hard Intercept mode. In this guide, we will go over the process to unlock each of them.

How to unlock all of The First Descendant's Void Intercept Battles

The First Descendant has two tiers of Void Intercept Battles, Normal and Hard. All of the Normal Void Intercept Battles are woven into the main campaign of the game, and they unlock one by one as you make progress.

Hard Intercept Battles, on the other hand, unlock with a specific quest. In the Hard tier, as you beat each of these bosses, you gain access to the next boss.

You can launch all of these Intercept Battles by talking to Seneca in Albion, and pick whether to do it solo or in a squad.

Normal Void Intercept Battles

Here's the level and unlocking requirement for each Normal Intercept Boss:

How to unlock Hard Void Intercept Battles?

To unlock Hard Void Intercept Battles, you need to reach the "Colossi from Another Dimension" Quest, which gives you access to Hard-mode Executioner. Here are all the bosses you can face in Hard Void Intercept:

• Executioner (Level 102)
• Dead Bride (Level 106)
• Devourer (Level 110)
• Pyromaniac (Level 114)
• Swamp Walker (Level 118)
• Obstructor (Level 122)
• Frost Walker (Level 126)
• Molten Fortress (Level 130)

Intercept Battles act as your mechanical mastery over The First Descendant's combat, and also as a DPS check. In other words, Hard Intercept Battles are not to be trifled with. Make sure you are using a team comp with meta DPS, tank, and utility Descendants like Gley, Kyle, and Enzo.
