The First Descendant beta rewards are now available to non-beta participants

The First Descendant has a total of six beta rewards that you can claim for free. Originally, these freebies were meant for those who participated in the 2022 Steam beta and the 2023 open cross-play beta for the recently released looter shooter. However, after a round of delays in delivering them, Nexon is now distributing them to all players.

In this guide, we will go over what all The First Descedant beta rewards are and where you need to go to unlock them.

To get The First Descendant beta participation rewards, all you need to do is go to your Mailbox in Albion and claim them from the inbox messages by clicking on them. As mentioned earlier, you do not need to be a beta participant to qualify for these rewards right now - they are free for all players to take.

Here's all the rewards you can get right now:

Emotes - High Five (originally available to all 2022 beta test participants) and Send Heart (2023 beta test participants): Equip this on your Emote wheel from Inventory>Customize>Emote. You can play Emotes in The First Descendant by pressing L anytime.
Groundbreaking Prefix and Explorer Suffix - To use these, you can go to inventory, click on your name at the top-left corner, and change the Title from there.
'Bear Cub' Back Attachment (originally available to those leveled a Descendant to Level 20 in 2023 beta) - To equip this, go to Inventory> Customize> Descendant> Back Attachment
Passion Spawn Effect (originally available for players who cleared a Hard Void Intercept battle in 2023 beta) - To equip, go to Inventory> Customize>Spawn.
Bunny Head Skin - Trendsetter (originally a reward for participating in the beta survey) - Only equipable on the Bunny Descendant.

The availability of these beta rewards to the entire player base is a somewhat controversial decision from Nexon.

After an otherwise successful launch bogged down by technical setbacks, The First Descendant developer has already meted out Compensation rewards for player appeasement. However, up until this point, those have not been items originally meant to be exclusive. While beta participants theoretically still get the rewards, their prestige value is gone now.
