Greg’s Reversed Fate is one of the many recently updated weapons in The First Descendant. A powerful gun for clearing waves of enemies, it was being held back by a mediocre trigger for its special ability, Shaping Destiny. While the proc trigger percentage was reduced, it can now trigger on unshielded enemies. Instead of requiring Max Shield enemies, it has greater range, and thus, should activate more often.
With this change in mind, it’s likely that this Ultimate Weapon will become used a bit more often since its special ability received an adjustment. If you want to know how to craft it, set up your loadout, and more about its special ability, look no further.
How to unlock Greg’s Reversed Fate in The First Descendant
If you want to unlock Greg’s Reversed Fate in the title, it will take quite a grind. Depending on how lucky you are, you may already have some of these pieces. In addition to the below parts, you’re going to need 100,000 gold, four hours of real-world time, and a Mastery of 1. At least, the Mastery requirement is very forgiving.
When you’re building this weapon and considering its stats for Weapon Readjustment, I’d look at Critical Hit Rate or Weakpoint Damage - both are solid. Weakpoint damage is 2x, and Crit Rate is 20%, so whichever you feel you need more of, I’d focus on that for Greg’s Reversed Fate in The First Descendant.

When looking for stats and Modules, for my money, Action and Reaction is for almost every gun. It’s arguably one of the best Weapon Modules in the entire game. Action and Reaction, Focus Fire, Rifling Reinforcement, and Fatal Critical are among my favorites for Greg’s Reversed Fate in The First Descendant.
This loadout also gives you room to add character-specific Weapon Modules, which will no doubt be useful. Other than that, these are the Weapon Modules we’re running on the gun at this point.
- Action and Reaction
- Superheated Gunbarrel
- Concentration Stabilizer
- Focus Fire
- Rifling Reinforcement
- Fatal Critical
- Fire Rate Concentration
- Chill Enhancement

Greg’s Reversed Fate in The First Descendant features the ability, Shaping Destiny. It used to only work on enemies with Max Shield, but this tactical rifle was changed in the most recent hotfix (1.0.5).
On hitting an enemy with Max Shield, it would proc Bombardment on the enemy’s location with a set chance. It also inflicted Burn on enemies hit by Bombardment - making it a fun gun for Blair. However, the chance for it to trigger was reduced. In addition, the gun can now trigger on enemies that have no shields, so you have a greater chance overall to see this ability trigger.
