The First Descendant: How to beat Eterllick the Tracker

Eterllick the Tracker in The First Descendant is a minor boss that can be found in the Forgottense mission in the Restricted Zone of the Sterile Land. While this boss is nowhere as hard as the Void Interceptors in The First Descendant, it has some quirks that can be annoying if you're not prepared for what's to come.

How to complete the Forgottense Mission in The First Descendant

To reach the boss, first, you have to complete the Forgottense mission. Follow these steps to progress into the mission:

Clear the Surveillance Zones

• Locate each Surveillance Zone
• Eliminate all hostile forces in this area

Navigate the Cavern

• Go deeper into the underground passage
• Keep an eye out for an orange terminal near crystal formations

Activate the Ironheart Excavation Traces

• Find the orange terminal on a crystal-covered wall
• Interact with it to connect Guide to the traces
• Be prepared for an immediate enemy assault

Defeat the Incoming Wave

• Fend off the enemies that attack after activating the terminal
• Use cover and coordinate with your team

Locate the Crystal Device

• Continue exploring until you find a floating Crystal Device
• Approach it carefully

Initiate Authorization Process

• Interact with the Crystal Device
• Allow Guide to begin the authorization sequence

Defend the Crystal Device

• Remain in close proximity to the device
• Protect it from enemy waves for three minutes

Find the Golden Device Altar

• After defending the Crystal Device, search for a large altar
• Look for a large Golden Device on this altar

Summon and Defeat Eterllick the Tracker

• Interact with the Golden Device to summon the boss
• Engage Eterllick the Tracker in combat
• Defeat the boss a total of three times

After killing Eterllick for the third time, the mission will conclude. Collect your rewards and prepare for extraction.

How to defeat Eterllick the Tracker in First Descendant

Eterllick has a pesky shield that makes him invulnerable to damage, but once you get past it, the battle is not that hard. Follow these steps to make short work of the boss:

Destroy the shield sphere

• Locate the three orbs circling Eterllick that power the shield
• Focus your fire on these orbiting machines
• Once the sphere is gone, Eterllick becomes vulnerable
• DPS his HP as hard as you can.

Beware of the final flash

• When Eterllick’s HP goes to zero, it detonates itself
• Look for a yellow energy beam surrounding Eterllick
• This indicates the area which will be affected by the blast
• Immediately run away from the zone

Repeat the Process

• Return to the first step and cycle through the steps again
• You'll need to defeat Eterllick a total of three times
