The First Descendant: How to beat Stunning Beauty

The Stunning Beauty in The First Descendant is a Level 22 boss unlocked after completing the Mysterious Attraction quest. This Colossus is more challenging than the Grave Walker boss encountered in the tutorial and the first tier of the Normal Void Intercept Battles. As with all Void Intercept Battles, you will fail the boss encounter if you die more than three times.

How to defeat Stunning Beauty in The First Descendant

The Stunning Beauty specializes in inflicting Electric damage and is highly resistant to Electric and Fire attacks. So, before you start this battle, enhance your defensive stats in The First Descendant with at least 350 Electric Resistance.

Additionally, it's weak to Toxic damage, so you can use the Toxic Enhancement Module on your weapons to significantly increase your damage output. Freyna builds are also effective against this boss, as she specializes in inflicting Toxic damage.

The primary strategy of defeating the Stunning Beauty in The First Descendant is to attack its Weak Points. These vulnerable areas can be highlighted during the battle by pressing the Tab key on the keyboard or the Right Stick on the controller.

Attacking the Weak Points will deal extra damage to the boss and will eventually be destroyed, allowing you to remove them with your Grappling Hook and temporarily stun the boss.

Here are all the mechanics you will encounter while fighting the Stunning Beauty in The First Descendant:

Additional Enemies: The Stunning Beauty will spawn additional enemies throughout the battle. They drop ammo and HP when defeated, so take them out when running low on supplies.
Teleport Stomp: Occasionally, the boss will teleport towards you and attack with a leg stomp. You can avoid this attack by dodging away from her.
Lightning Orbs: The boss will often release several Lightning Orbs that slowly travel across the arena. Move out of their way to avoid unnecessary damage.
Missiles: The boss will sometimes launch a barrage of missiles. You can avoid them by taking cover behind the massive pillars in the arena. However, these pillars will disappear after taking damage.
Lightning Area-of-Effects: Similar to the missiles, the boss can fire a barrage of lightning projectiles that create lingering AoEs on the ground. Avoid these AoEs to prevent taking Lightning damage.
Shotgun Blast: The boss will fire several projectiles in a horizontal line. Maintain distance to avoid getting hit by them.
Blue Eye: This is the most dangerous mechanic in this fight. The Stunning Beauty will occasionally turn gold and become immune to any damage. At the same time, a Blue Eye will spawn above her and your head. Immediately hide behind a pillar during this mechanic because if you are seen by the boss, the eye above your head will turn gold, causing significant damage to your character.
Blue Eye AoEs: Even while hiding during the Blue Eye mechanic, mini AoEs will spawn beneath you. Step out of them to avoid damage. The Blue Eye above the boss becomes a new Weak Point during this phase. Attack it in small bursts by peeking from the cover to deal extra damage.
