As you progress to the late-game phase of The First Descendant, you must get an Energy Activator to make your chosen Descendant more powerful. These are single-use consumables that give your chosen weapon or character a one-time boost of 20 extra Module capacity. Naturally, as players hit the end-game difficulty ramp in The First Descendant, they are eager to know how to get an Energy Activator.

In this guide, we will explain all about Energy Activators, how to get it for free, and how to use it.

Energy Activators cost 1200 Caliber in The First Descendant, which is a lot of money due to the high pricing of this premium currency. Thankfully, you can also craft these for free if you have the right resources. Here's everything you need to craft an Energy Activator:

  • 55x Low-Carbon Activators: Can drop from mobs in the Vulgas Outpost in Fallen Theatre, Kingston
  • 25x Conductive Metallic Foil: Can drop from Encrypted Storage Boxes and Encrypted Vault, greater chance if using Enzo as your Descendant
  • 55x Heat Plasma Battery: Can drop from mobs in Hagios
  • 72x Polyatomic Ion Particle: Can drop from mobs in Fortress
  • Energy Activator Blueprint: Can be obtained by opening various Amorphous Materials

Once you have all these resources and at least one Energy Activator Blueprint, go to Anais in Albion and then:

  • Research Request
  • Go to "All"
  • Search "Energy Activators" in the bar, and select the option
  • Long-press Research Request

The process will take 30 hours of real-time to complete and costs 750,000 Gold.

You can permanently increase the total Module Capacity of any Descendant or weapon using an Energy Activator. Here's how to do this:

  • Open the Module setup of a Descendant or Weapon. For weapons, this is next to an equipped weapon in the Inventory. For Descendants, this is "Descendant Module".
  • On the upper-right, find "Module Additional Settings", and then select "Max Capacity UP".

This will consume one Energy Activator in the process, so use them wisely.
