Fellow in The First Descendant is the new dog companion introduced in Season 2. You can add it to your squad by grinding for specific materials and parts. Fellow is a Hagios Sheepdog who has a similar appearance to real-life German Shepherds. This dog companion can automatically dismantle your gear. In future updates, more companion animals may be added.

In this guide, we cover everything to know about getting the Fellow in The First Descendant.

To begin, navigate to the View Operation screen in the game and locate the Void Vessel missions introduced in Season 2. These missions are available in two modes: Void Vessel Normal and Void Vessel Hard. Both modes drop the parts required to craft Fellow, but Hard mode provides a higher drop rate for these items.

Each Void Vessel mission has timers that influence the rewards you can earn, so aim for the best completion time to maximize your chances of getting rare drops. At the end of each mission, you’ll have the opportunity to select from a series of chests, each with varying drop rates for specific items, including Fellow's parts.

Fellow’s creation requires four unique parts, all of which drop randomly as rewards during Void Vessel missions. The drop mechanics involve RNG (Random Number Generation), meaning you’ll need some luck to obtain all the necessary components. Throughout the missions, you’ll encounter breakable walls. Use your abilities to destroy these barriers and collect the chests, which sometimes can have the needed parts.

Just like everything else in the game, getting the dog companion is extremely grindy. Unless you want to spend real-world money, it may take you at least 5-10 hours or even more to get everything you need to unlock the dog. Personally, the design of the Fellow seems a little lackluster. In a world where humanoids are equipped with ground-breaking tech and powers, a dog with some tactical gear slapped on it seems out of place.

Once you have the Hagios Sheepdog, you can select it by heading over to Manage Fellows from the main inventory panel.
