Descendant Skill Name

What type of skill is it?

Brief Description

Repulsion Dash

Active (Tech)

An offensive maneuver that inflicts damage in a small area, pushes enemies away, and grants a temporary defense boost. Its short cooldown allows frequent use during extended battles.

Magnetic Bulwark

Active (Dimension)

A defensive technique that generates a projectile-blocking barrier at a chosen spot. Maintaining this shield gradually depletes your Max Shield, so use it judiciously.

Magnetism Spurt

Active (Dimension)

Temporarily negates incoming damage by utilizing stored Magnetic Force as a shield. Upon expiration, it releases a damaging pulse to nearby foes. Damage output correlates with consumed Magnetic Force. Despite its brief cooldown, it's advisable to accumulate a substantial amount of Magnetic Force beforehand.

Superconductivity Thrusters

Active (Tech)

A versatile skill that functions as both a rapid movement ability and a potent offensive tool. Colliding with enemies while being active deals significant damage, scaling with stored Magnetic Force. Activation requires at least 30% Magnetic Force. Given its long 60-second cooldown, it's recommended to maximize damage potential by accumulating more than the minimum Magnetic Force before use.

Experienced Technician

Passive (Tech)

Passive ability that generates Magnetic Force when using skills.

Kyle is a bruiser and his skills revolve around disorienting the enemy and clearing the way. When playing Kyle, focus on building up his Magnetic force and use skills like Superconductivity Thrusters to dish out massive amounts of damage.

The First Descendant Kyle build: What are the Best Modules to use?

Broadly speaking, Kyle needs higher Shields and lower Skill CD to be effective. All other stats can be filled out depending on what you needs specifically. We have not quite gotten around to putting an Energy Activator on our Kyle build yet, so here's what we are rocking:

  • Increased Shield (max this out first)
  • Shock Punch (Sub-attack module)
  • Focus on Tech
  • MP Conversion
  • Nimble Fingers
  • Non-Attribute Specialist (You can also use Non-Attribute Synctium)

This Kyle build is not meant for mobbing, but for running solo Void Intercept Battles. Currently, we can clear some Hard Intercept bosses even with a sub-30 level Kyle as long as the weapon DPS is enough.

We will update this guide with a more min-maxed endgame build later. That said, the build philosophy is to prioritize these stats, in order of importance:

  • Shields
  • Skill CD
  • Skill Power
  • Non-Attribute Skill power
  • Tech Skill power
  • Skill range (Skill Expansion) - If you want to do some mobbing
  • Defensive stats other than shield
  • Skill duration (Skill Extension) can come in handy if you want a higher Barrier uptime, but it is not more important than other stats.

Best Reactor to use for a Kyle build in The First Descendant

Materialized Phase Reactor is the best for Kyle because it boosts the Non-Attribute and Dimension skills. You should also keep an eye on the Skill optimization requirements, and have the specified weapon class equipped.

Best External Components to use on Kyle

The best components to use for this Kyle build are defensive stats:

  • Max Shield.
  • Max HP.
  • HP Recovery.
  • DEF.

Focus on the External Components that will boost his tackiness even further. There’s quite a lot of RNG involved with finding External Components, but once you get your hands on the above-mentioned ones, equip them for maximum optimization.
