The Molten Fortress in The First Descendant is a Void Intercept Battle boss that you will face in the game. It is listed as a level 130 boss, and you must undertake the Intercept Battle: Molten Fortress to face it. To take it on, you also need to have a four-man team and keep a few mechanics in mind.
This article explains how you can defeat the Molten Fortress in The First Descendant.
The First Descendant: How to defeat the Molten Fortress
The most efficient way to defeat the Molten Fortress in The First Descendant is to deal severe damage before its immunity phase starts. Then, you can deactivate the connection rods before doing more damage.
Here are the phases of the boss fight:
Weak Points:
Divide your four-man team into two groups and attack the core and armor of the boss. When those parts turn yellow, one of you should grapple onto the yellow part before the purple bar is full to prevent the immunity phase. This will allow your team to continue doing damage. Stay on top of the boss as long as possible to do the maximum damage.
Connect Rods:
You will fall off the boss eventually. This is when the immunity phase will start. During this stage, six rods will come out of the ground, and each will have a panel with blue energy bars on top. These panels rotate a beam that every rod emits to connect them together. You need to split up and shoot the panels to make the beams go in a counter-clockwise direction.
The boss will also shoot up meteors from the center. You have to shoot them down before the red bars fill up. If you do not shoot them in time, you will have to repeat the whole process with the panels again.

Roly-poly:
Roly-polies will continuously attack you throughout the fight. Assign a low DPS character like Ajax to deal with them. Kill them away from the center to prevent them from being covered in lava during the immunity phase.
Flaming Pillars:
During the battle with the boss, you have to keep moving to avoid damage. Lava will spawn under your feet, so it's best if you stay at least 10 meters behind the pillars.
Fireballs:
The boss will shoot out fireballs from the center during the immunity phase. Shoot them as soon as they spawn since they can cause a lot of damage if the Thunder Cage explodes them.
If you follow these tips religiously, you should be able to defeat the Molten Fortress boss in no time.
