The First Descendant’s Season Roadmap was recently released on social media, giving fans a good idea of what they can expect going forward. The shooter MMO was only recently released to a global audience on July 2, 2024. However, we have information on when Seasons 1 and 2 will kick off, as well as what they will contain. Of course, this information is subject to change, and further details will no doubt be revealed later.

Fans of The First Descendant can expect new classes, dungeons, and storyline content, as was revealed in the Season roadmap. The following is everything we know about what’s to come for Nexon’s recent multiplayer title.

The First Descendant Season 1 release date and features: When does the Pre-Season end?

The pre-season for The First Descendant has already begun, and according to the roadmap, Season 1 begins on August 28th. According to the in-game counter on the Battle Pass page, Pre-Season ends on this day at midnight PT.

The First Descendant patc 1.0.5 was the first and only content update in the Pre-Season period, featuring a new Descendant, named Luna, the Gluttony Colossus, a new Ultimate Valby, an ultimate weapon, and a few new summer cosmetics.

The next item on the menu is in late August, when Season 1 Episode: Invasion will kick off. There will be three updates for Season 1. Athough it’s unknown which new feature will be added in which update, we know at least some of the content that will be available:

Not much more is known about this actual content, but Nexon will likely give more information as we get closer to August. The Season roadmap also teased some interesting Season 2 content, as well.

Everything coming with The First Descendant Season 2 (that we know so far)

The First Descendant Season 2 begins in Early December, and like the Season 1 update, will feature three updates. Fans can expect similar content drops compared to Season 1, and unfortunately, we don’t have much in the way of specifics. Here’s what you can expect in Season 2:

This is a solid list of upcoming content, for sure. The new Mega Dungeons may be going to serve as raids as traditional MMOs feature. The game does feature end-game Infiltrations, but there are no raids quite yet.

Unfortunately, there’s no clue as to when this season will begin, nor any concrete information outside of what Nexon revealed in their Season Roadmap post. We will update you as this information becomes available.
