Deviating from the usual flashiness of other Descendants, Sharen is unique in her ability to dispatch enemies and wreak havoc in unsuspecting enemy outposts. On the surface, her kit is tailor-made for stealth and quickly finishing off enemies before dipping into obscurity. However, she can be invaluable in colossus fights and day-to-day missions, thanks to Transcendental mods and build crafting.
This guide will aim to break down every important aspect of Sharen's kit, how to utilize her abilities well, and even a cheap, no-catalyst build to get one started on their endgame farming journey.

How to craft Sharen in The First Descendent
To play an effective Sharen build, craft her first. Fortunately, she is obtained much more easily than other Descendants.
Like Freyna, Bunny, and Blair in The First Descendant Sharen's parts can be directly acquired from normal mode missions. These parts don't have to be crafted, and once all four are obtained, it's only a 16-hour-long wait until the research is completed. Here's a rundown of the four missions to farm Sharen's components:
As these items are obtained from normal missions, you might have a part in your inventory while running through the campaign. So, check your inventory or Anais's crafting list before farming these four missions to save time.
Every Sharen skill and passive in The First Descendant explained
Sharen's kit is entirely based on stealth and high burst damage. Her primary attribute is Electricity, with skills 1 and 4 being affected by Fusion modifiers while skills 2 and 3 are affected by Dimenison mods. Here's a quick breakdown of the skills:
Like most other Descendants, players can increase their lethality by directly investing in Electricity/Fusion reactors. Likewise, you can add more time to your Active Camouflage timer by investing in Electricity/Dimension reactors.
Passive: Assasinator
When attacking, increases DMG against enemies who are not targeting the caster. When in Ambush state, killing an enemy using a skill resets the cooldown of Active Camouflage. This effect has a cooldown.
Effectively, players can chain two back-to-back Active Camouflages should their Cutoff Beam, Flash Shortsword, or weapons manage to kill an enemy. This can be handy when players need to reset the aggro to revive someone or perform a quick outpost reset.
Best mod setup for Sharen in The First Descendant
Sharen's entire kit is based around her quickly dropping in and out of combat to assassinate enemies while the rest of her team cleans the house. She can excel in picking off high-value targets such as shielded enemies and Elites, and chunking down champions.
Sharen's bossing build is based around her Overcharged Edge Transcendental mod, which consumes her shields instead of MP to increase her Ambush damage. Players can use this boost in power to deal millions of damage to a colossus with a well-placed sniper shot. The standard setup for this build is as follows:
Combine this build with either Afterglow Sword or Piercing Light and you can look forward to quick Colossus kills in no time.
The other build that Sharen players can very easily set up is the no-reactor, no-catalyst build perfect for Outpost infiltrations. These missions are crucial for farming amorphous materials for Descendants like Ultimate Freyna and Ultimate Ajax.
This barebones setup is perfect for increasing Active Camouflage's timer to safely and stealthily eliminate every outpost objective. Furthermore, by utilizing Sharen's passive, you can quickly kill the outpost boss using Cutoff Beam or Flash Shortsword.
Sharen leveling build
Sharen's Overcharged Shot build requires a lot of investment, but her budget build is much more accessible. While leveling her, use the cheap build as a template. The only difference is that players should swap out MP Accelerant for Increased DEF. Here is the order of mods at a glance:
- Sub Module: Use any. Grapple mods are the safer bet.
- Increased HP
- Increased DEF
- Battle of Stamina
- Skill Extension
Increased HP and DEF should be at max rank at the earliest, followed by the sub-attack. The rest of the mods can be leveled up at the player's discretion.
All Sharen skill modules in The First Descendant explained
Like other Descendants, Sharen has four Transcendental mods that affect each of her four skills.
- Release Cutting Force: Cutoff Beam is now a frontal skill that can hit enemies beyond its range.
- Overcharged Edge: As previously, changes Active Camouflage to consume shields instead of MP and boost Ambush damage.
- Battlesuit Melting Rounds: Makes Impact Round a stackable skill that reduces the DEF and Electric RES of enemies caught in the area, by 40%.
- Void Domination: Increases the targeting range and speed of Flash Shortswords.

Best loadout for Sharen in The First Descendant
Whether someone plays Sharen for her quick assassination skills or her unmatched stealth potential, there seem to be only a few weapon choices for her.
- Afterglow Sword (High-Power Rounds): By far the best choice for Sharen and the Overcharged Shot build. Afterglow Sword's unique perk also allows for easier crits and lower kill times.
- Piercing Light (High-Power Rounds): The only viable choice after Afterglow Sword. While Piercing Light's unique effect is limited in its use, the weapon's damage is high enough to make it a viable choice in clearing normal content.
- Enduring Legacy (General Rounds): An overall powerhouse weapon, Enduring Legacy can take advantage of Sharen's Battlesuit Melting Rounds and dish out some serious damage against colossus like Gluttony.
Best Reactor for Sharen in The First Descendant
As discussed, Sharen's skills are a mix of Dimension and Fusion attributes with Electric being the common thread. Depending on the skill usage, the reactor can vary but to keep things simple, it's more efficient to go for a general Electric/Dimension reactor if you don't plan on using Sharen beyond outpost infiltration.
The above image is an example of a generalized reactor that uses a common enough weapon and provides additional skill power boost through sub-stats. The Skill Critical Hit Rate is a good upgrade to work toward but can be swapped out with any other useful stat.
Sharen's ideal skill rotation in The First Descendant
In most cases, Sharen's skill rotations revolve around Active Camouflage. Whether it's the Overcharged Shot or outpost clearing build, you will mostly camp Active Camouflage. In the case of a colossus fight, you will instead use Impact Round.
To put it simply, camp the C key in most cases. During the Outpost missions, use C and occasionally Q and Z keys to reset Active Camouflage's cooldown. In the case of Battlesuit Melting Round-builds, use the V key every time it comes up and use C to quickly get out of a jam.
This concludes our guide for Sharen and all her tips and tricks. Keep in mind that these builds are best in specific content and should be used as templates. Players should test other mods and weapon combinations, and come up with their personalized builds to have the best experience in The First Descendant.
