The Slayer set is one of many external component sets in The First Descendant that offers various perks to synergize with certain builds and enhance their effectiveness. You need to equip at least two components to activate these special perks. Full bonuses are unlocked when you equip all four pieces of the set.

Grinding for this component set can be frustrating because these components only have a chance of spawning when you defeat a specific void intercept boss in The First Descendant. Defeating any Void Intercept boss even once requires significant effort, making farming them a long-term commitment. Therefore, only attempt to obtain the Slayer set if it synergizes with your build.

Acquisition Method and Details of Slayer Set in The First Descendant

To obtain each piece of the Slayer set, you must farm the Pyromaniac boss in Hard mode. Pyromaniac is a tricky boss with a massive HP bar, becoming especially punishing in Hard mode. Each time you successfully defeat the boss, the rewards pool has a chance of giving you a component from the Slayer Set.

Although Pyromaniac is challenging to defeat, you can make the fight somewhat easier by using Descendants with highly damaging skills. The boss is strong against weapon damage but weak against skill damage. Therefore, Descendants like Bunny can deal critical damage and are extremely effective against this boss.

• General Rounds Capacity +8%

If you equip four pieces of the set:

• Rounds per Magazine +8%
• Skill Cost +15%
• Skill Power +26.1%
• Defeating enemies with Towed, restores MP and Specialized Resource 12.2%. It has a 17% chance of occurring.

The most popular and effective strategy for the Slayer set is to farm two components and equip them for the Rounds capacity boost, then equip two more components from a different set.
