The First Descendant Yujin build: Best loadout, skill breakdown, and more

The First Descendant Yujin
If you want to play as Yujin in The First Descendant, here's everything you need to know (Image via Nexon)

Yujin is another one of the support characters in The First Descendant, so they're based on getting the biggest heals to your allies as you work through this cooperative shooter. He brings some truly incredible heals as well as drops buffs and revives allies. There’s quite a real possibility of this character being the best healer in the mid/late game, thanks to his great abilities, especially his Ultimate, Hyperreactive Healing Ground.

Unlike Jayber in The First Descendant, Yujin doesn’t bring a lot of combat skills to the table. Instead, he brings a suit of heals, buffs, and enemy debuffs to combat. If you’re interested in being a pure healer for your allies in late-game missions, here’s what you need to know.

The First Descendant Yujin skill breakdown

Skill NameSkill TypeDescription
Solidarity HealingHealing Non-Attribute (Singular)Attaches a Healing Drone to an ally. If it gets too far from the target, it gets dismissed. It grants Sustained Recovery upon attachment, and Stimulant to ally and self when dismissed.
Restructure SerumBuff/Debuff Non-Attribute (Fusion)Fires a Restructure Serum, that decreases DEF and inflicts Allergy. When attacking enemies with Allergy, heals nearby allies and grants additional healing to allies who killed that enemy.
Stimulant SprayBuff Non-Attribute (Singular)Grants Stimulation to nearby allies. Allies receive healing proportional to the number of times they were hit when Stimulation ends. Also reduces incoming damage.
Hyperreactive Healing GroundHeal/Buff Non-Attribute (Fusion)Heals allies and self within a circular range, grants Purification, and provides immunity to debuffs. The amount healed is based on the number of allies and enemies within range. Grants Hyper Activity to self when the skill ends.
Stop OverreactingUnique (Passive)Significantly reduces the time to rescue allies. Rescued allies gain Additional Prescription, which temporarily increases Max HP.

Unlike other characters in The First Descendant, Yujin doesn’t really feature any attack skills. He does have Restructure Serum, which debuffs enemies and inflicts a status ailment, Allergy, on them.

Everything else is based on buffing, and healing allies (Solidarity Healing, Stimulant Spray, Hyperreactive Healing). He also has one of the best passives in the game, Stop Overreacting. It makes his revives much faster and buffs those players.

All Yujin Skill Modules in The First Descendant

Note: There are no unique Skill Modules available for Yujin in the game at this point.

The First Descendant Yujin build: What are the best Modules to use?

As a support character in The First Descendant, Yujin wants to make sure he can use his skills as far as possible, as well as increase his DEF stat. As a later-game, high-tier character, Yujin’s heals are going to be incredibly important. However, you can’t get them out if you’re being hit by enemies. These are the Skill Modules we recommend, but you aren’t bound to these, pick what works best for you.

  • Amplification Control: Increases Skill Effect Range/Max Shield.
  • Autoimmunity: Reduces incoming damage/increases HP Recovery.
  • Nimble Fingers: Reduces Skill Cooldown.
  • Shock Punch: Increases Max Module Capacity.
  • Stim Accelerant: Increases Max HP significantly and reduces Max MP slightly.
  • Agony: Increases Max MP/DEF.
  • Conditional Recharge: When using skills, it consumes a portion of your health to recover Shield.
  • Medical Support: Increases HP Heal.

Ideal Reactors

Yujin is very much a Non-Attribute skill character, so you want to look for Singular/Fusion Reactors for this support character in The First Descendant. In particular, you want to find names that begin with Materialized Mixture or Materialized Singularity. As far as stats go, Skill Power, Skill Critical Hit Damage, and anything that buffs Fusion/Non-Attribute skills are key.

External components to use on Yujin

External components feel the same in terms of usefulness for most characters (Image via Nexon)

Yujin wants similar stats to other characters when it comes to External components. Unfortunately, this is pretty RNG-heavy, so it may be hard to find the stats you want. Look for Max Shield, Max HP, HP Recovery, and DEF.
