Palworld might receive some exciting new features at the Summer Game Festival 2024. Fans are waiting for fresh content on Palpagos Island as it has been a while since Pocketpair, Inc. released the last major update. Whether the folks at Pocketpair add unique Pals to catch or brand-new islands and ecosystems to explore, the community will be elated with the latest inclusions.

1) Pocketpair, Inc. teased new Pals

Pocketpair, Inc. released a post regarding new features coming to the game at the 2024 Summer Game Festival. Some of the main highlights were two new Pals —Kattress Ignis and Wixen Noct (yet to be confirmed).

This opens up opportunities for more Pals to join the fray. Notably, the update could feature more than elemental variations for these critters. New designs and unique abilities would be a great addition.

2) We might finally get a PvP mode

A PvP mode along with a battle arena has been teased for a while. Previously, leaks were found regarding how PvP battles would work but the feature has yet to be incorporated into the game.

Given the effort warranted by a PvP feature, Pocketpair, Inc. might reveal it during the 2024 Summer Game Festival. Its integration will prompt players to grind for the best Pals and build the strongest team on Palpagos Island.

3) New Islands might hit the game

Since a few Pals were revealed in the post made by the official Palworld account, players might see unique islands meant to house these new critters. That said, whether the game will introduce new Wildlife Sanctuaries or islands for building bases is up for speculation.

4) PlayStation support

Not everyone has access to multiple consoles. So, for PlayStation owners, the Summer Game Festival 2024 might see Palworld finally hit Sony's consoles.

PlayStation users have been eagerly awaiting a console port of Palworld. By bringing the game to the console, Pocket Pair, Inc. could attract a new player base and propel its active player count to new heights.

However, note that this is an indie game developed with limited resources.

5) New technology might be available at the Summer Game Festival 2024
