Throne and Liberty Mystic Globes and Mystic Portals are special treasure items you can find while exploring the map. Other than as a collectible you can hunt down for fun while exploring an area, but they also serve as one of the primary ways you can obtain Abyssal currency in the early-game.

In this guide, we'll explain what they are, and what you can gain from them.

What are Mystic Globes in Throne and Liberty?

Mystic Globes are special globe portals scattered across the world of Throne and Liberty. These are tiny red orbs that can spawn anywhere, so it's somewhat down to luck. Once you find it, interact with it like you would with any other gathering sources.

Finding Mystic Globes is very straightforward. They are all over the map, and when you are near one, the mini-map will display a Mystic Globe icon. Additionally, your Amitoi companion will alert you with a notification appearing in the lower-right corner of your screen when a Mystic Globe is close by.

A Mystic Globe grants you a Rare Rubrix Ore, and 100 Abyssal Contract Tokens upon unlock. Opening it can also trigger the appearance of a Mystic Portal nearby, which stays active for a short time. Read along to find out what that entails.

Mystic Portals are a rare and beneficial event that can occur when you open a Mystic Globe. Once a Mystic Portal appears, a message will notify you of your presence. After the notification pops up, there's a 60-minute timer that starts counting down, at the end of which the Mystic Portal will disappear.

While its location will be marked on both the mini-map and world map, the exact spot won't be revealed. Instead, the general area will be highlighted, and your Amitoi companion will notify you when you are near it. Opening it is the same as Mystic Globes, except a Mystic Key is required—which is consumed upon use.

How to get Mystic Keys

Mystic Portals require a Mystic Key to open. The main way to obtain these is buying them from a Contract Coin Merchant for 15 Contract Coins apiece. You can buy a maximum of 5 of these per day from this inventory before the next daily reset.

What do you get from Mystic Portals?

In addition to 100 Abyssal Contract Tokens Mystic Portals grant players access to a rare item known as the Trait Unlockstone. It allows gamers to unlock or convert traits on equipment they haven’t unlocked yet.
