Reaching level 50 in Throne and Liberty opens up several brand-new gameplay opportunities and provides players with varying sets of goals to achieve. Like most other MMORPGs, Throne and Liberty offers various avenues of vertical progression. It leaves players ample room to chase down one or multiple paths, whether it be running Abyssal dungeon or battling it out in the PvP arena.
In this guide, we will aim to provide players with a comprehensive list of aspirational objectives that will set them up for a smoother transition into the endgame, while also helping them get familiar with every relevant game mechanic.
7 important goals in Throne and Liberty post-level 50
Reaching Level 50 and finishing the campaign is only step one of entering the endgame in Throne and Liberty. The breadth of the game can make it daunting to narrow down what to do. Here is a list of seven tasks that you can do daily or weekly to make the transition smoother:
Skills
Skills in Throne and Liberty are the bread and butter of a player's kit and shape their experience according to their playstyle. Skills need to be upgraded with their respective skill growth books. Skill Researchers can not only craft these books in any of the three hub cities but also upgrade lower-tier books into higher-tier ones. Furthermore, such books can be obtained as rewards for completing Exploration Codex collections.
The required materials can be farmed from various locations but most easily in Abyssal dungeons like Ant Nest and Syleus's Abyss. The Dimensional Circle Co-op dungeons are the primary source to obtain Precious Omnipotence Parchment, which is exclusively used to craft Omnipotence Skill growth books. Crafting these books and leveling the required skills should be a top priority.
Gear
Gearing a character properly after finishing the campaign is probably one of the easiest yet most lengthy processes in Throne and Liberty. This is due to how the gear pieces are spread across different content. After reaching the current level cap of 50, one of the first objectives is to slowly swap out the campaign gear for mid-game gear while farming for end-game items.
The gearing process is based on a player's play style, class, and preferred weapons. Gearing and scaling up a DPS character is relatively easier than a healer or a tank, classes that focus harder on certain stats or gear set bonuses.
Beyond acquiring gear pieces, Growthstones are an essential aspect of the grind, as they directly increase combat effectiveness. These growthstones can be crafted at the respective Crafter, or obtained from Codex completions and special events like the Haunted Harvest Co-op dungeon.
Traits
Without an active focus on traits and selecting appropriate ones for the builds, the gearing process is incomplete. Traits offer small stat bonuses alongside a gear's innate stats and can be upgraded to provide larger bonuses.
Traits in Throne and Liberty can be upgraded via two methods. The first method involves infusing the target gear with a copy of it that has the required trait. This method is guaranteed to succeed. The second method involves infusing multiple lower-tier gears with the targeted trait, for a chance to upgrade.
Armor and Accessory traits are much more difficult to fine-tune and take a combination of time and dedicated farming. Moreover, these traits only be upgraded via items of the same category. For example, Helmets with the Max Health trait can only be upgraded by infusing other Helmet pieces with the Max Health trait.
The process is much simpler for Weapon traits as infusing any weapon with the required trait will achieve the same effect, depending on the gear's quality.
Dungeons
Dungeons in Throne and Liberty have two different gameplay philosophies, where one activity practically fuels the other. Players unlock Abyssal dungeons and Dimension Circles (Co-op dungeons) upon reaching levels 18 and 20, respectively. Abyssal dungeons use Abyssal Contract Tokens for loot, which can be replenished by spending Dimension Circle tokens in co-op dungeons.
Abyssal dungeons are based in the open world and form the bulk of the PvE gameplay, but turn into a PvP playing field during nighttime. Special Resistance Contracts for Abyssal dungeons give Abyss Currency, which can be used to craft gear unique to these dungeons.
On the other hand, Co-op dungeons are special activities that provide some of the strongest gears in-game. Special currencies from the final boss chests can also be used to craft Dimensional Essence: Salvation, which can then be used to obtain unique gear related to co-op dungeons.
Field Bosses and Archbosses
Throne and Liberty have numerous Field Bosses that pop up across the map, forming a pivotal aspect of the open-world gameplay. These bosses appear on a timer and often switch between Peace and Conflict variants.
The Peace variant is much more accessible for PvE players while Conflict is much more exciting, provided evenly matched guilds are going at it. Field bosses are a great way to obtain powerful items such as Adentus's Gargantuan Greatsword, a best-in-slot item for any Greatsword build.
Later, the goal should be to obtain weapons from one of the two Archbosses in-game. For example, Crossbow users will likely aim for Queen Bellandir's Toxic Spine Throwers dropped by the Queen Bellandir Archboss.
Weekly Missions
Weekly missions are more of a passive goal, in the sense that these can be completed over time for a chance at extremely rare rewards or a guaranteed chance at a limited number of valuable currency.
Weekly missions consist of objectives that span all facets of gameplay from Abyssal Dungeons to Co-op dungeons, world events, PvP, and even guild raids. Players completing these objectives within a week can obtain rare gear from every content in the next weekly reset. This gear can then be used in builds or sold for Lucent in the auction house.
The PvP-specific Arena objectives are special as they only offer Trait Conversion Stones, Trait Extraction Stones, and Precious Polished Crystals which are invaluable in the end-game for both trait tinkering and crafting items. Furthermore, if none of the rewards seem lucrative, players can take the Trait Resonance Stones as compensation should RNG not favor them.
Weapon Mastery
Weapon Mastery is a long-term progression system that provides special passive bonuses related to a player's choice of weapons. It is accumulated passively from XP gains but can be enhanced greatly by consuming Training Dews that drop from many gameplay sources.
The Training Dews offer a large chunk of Mastery XP based on which area they're obtained from and can be boosted further using Mastery Reports. The experience threshold for each Weapon Mastery level increases per level, so players should aim to maximize their time in dungeons and farming Resistance Contracts.
