In Throne and Liberty, the weapons you equip determine how your character plays. If you prefer a style where your player character can dish out high AOE damage as well as have good crit potential, then the Greatsword Dagger build is the best for you.
Note that this build is tailored for the PvE servers, focusing on DPS instead of support.
Disclaimer: This build guide is based on the Korean version of Throne and Liberty, and it may undergo balance changes before or after the Global Release.
Throne and Liberty Greatsword Dagger build for PvE server
As the name suggests, this build uses a Greatsword and a Dagger. The Greatsword is the primary damage dealer and should be equipped in the main hand. The Dagger, equipped in the offhand, provides critical chances and status ailments. The passive skills of the offhand weapon remain active even when using the main hand weapon, allowing the Greatsword’s damaging and AOE skills to be complemented by the Dagger's crit chances and effects.
Stats distribution
Dex (Dexterity) and Str (Strength) are the meat of this build. So you should try to focus on building them up. The recommended stat distribution of this build for us is:
- 30 Strength
- 30 Dexterity
- 10 Wisdom
- 19 Perception
Defense Skill for the Greatsword Dagger build
Each equipped weapon has a slot for Defense skill. For this build, we recommend going with the Defense Skill of the Greatsword Iron Point Parry.
Iron Parry: Defend against an incoming attack. Deal damage back when defending against Fury attacks.
Attack Skills and passives for the Greatsword Dagger build
Greatsword Skills:
- Valiant Brawl – Execute three strikes. When multiple foes are within range, the attacks are distributed among them, with the final blow targeting your primary enemy. The final attack deals increased damage.
- Precision Dash – Swiftly close the gap to your target, inflicting damage where the dash ends.
- Stunning Blow – Deliver a powerful hit with a high probability of briefly stunning the enemy.

Dagger Skills:
- Shadow Strike – appear behind your target and strike for damage.
- Inject Venom – Temporarily imbue all attacks with a weakening poison that damages over time, halts health regeneration, and can accumulate.
- Ankle Strike – Deliver a powerful blow with a high probability of flooring Stunned, Bound, or Sleeping targets for 3 seconds. Similar to Ascension Slash, but for daggers.
- Camouflage Cloak – Become invisible for a short duration, avoiding targeting. Your first attack while hidden guarantees a Heavy Attack. Attacking or morphing ends the invisibility.
- Predatory Strike – Deal 490% damage plus 80, followed by an additional 40% damage. Effectiveness increases by 9% against targets affected by your Burning, Curse, or Poison damage over time effects.

- Vicious Fangs – Increased Melee, Ranged, and Magic Critical Hit Chance if you are attacking an enemy who is affected by your poison.

As mentioned previously, this build mainly focuses on PvE servers. In this scenario, your main focus should be dealing damage instead of support. That’s why we have opted out of utility skills like DaVinci's Courage and Robust Constitution. However, if you want to have some utility options in the build, add them to your kit.

Rotation details for the Greatsword Dagger built for Throne and Liberty
This build is very beginner-friendly. The main two combos that you will need to master are very easy to learn. The focus of this build is to deal as much damage as possible in both single target and AOE.
Stunning Blow > Death Blow
Simple yet effective. Use Stunning Blow to incapacitate your enemies and use the Death Blow on the Stunned enemies to deal a 30% increased attack.
Inject Venom > Stunning Blow > Death Blow
Use Inject venom before the combo to activate your passive Vicious Fangs that increase the crit chance on poisoned enemies. This will greatly boost the damage of the combo.
