Golden Rye Pastures is the de-facto starter area in Throne and Liberty after you beat the campaign. Covering an expansive farmland to the east of Kastleton, this is also the easiest Exploration Codex to fully complete, as there are only two quests you have to take on. This is a great source of a good chunk of free World Tree Leaves, early-game Sollant, and some food to get you through the early challenges.

In this guide, we'll go over both the Exploration quests of Throne and Liberty's Golden Rye Pastures region.

All Golden Rye Pastures Exploration Codex quests in Throne and Liberty

The Golden Rye Pastures area in Throne and Liberty has Violent Harvesters, Wasps, and Scarabs. Only the Violent Harvesters auto-aggro you, and these are lvl 1-3, so there's no extra leveling you'll have to do before you venture out here.

The Once-Peaceful Rye Fields

"The Once-Peaceful Rye Fields" is essentially three side objectives bottled into a quest. The first one is to destroy a Malfunctioning Harvester, which you'll find to the left of the crossroads to the immediate south of the Golden Rye Pastures icon on the map.

To destroy a Pile of Straw, find the part of the wheat fields that are tilled. Interact with one to set it on fire, which potentially spawns a lvl 3-4 Hostile Scarab.

The third part is to collect a Codex Page. One can be found at the northernmost hut near Mandrake Farmstead, which is also a good segue to get into the other Adventure Codex in the area.

Cursed Rain

To start the quest, you have to talk to Contaminated Rain Research Liana. She can be found waiting near the huts in Mandrake Farmstead.

This quest is relatively simple: pick up a bucket of water from nearby, enter the house the Codex points you towards, and help Liana's experiment. The process involves combat with an Experimental Scarab, but it's not miniboss levels of strong.

Final reward for completing the Exploration Codex page of Golden Rye Pasture

After you complete all of the Exploration Codices in Golden Rye Pastures, you can go to the Exploration page from the Journal menu (J on PC) to select one of the following:

10x Quality Sweet Grilled Mushrooms (All Hit Chance +60, All Critical Hit Chance +60)
10x Fried Egg (Boss Hit Chance +90, Boss Critical Hit Chance +90)
10x Meat and Onion Soup (All Defense +150)
10x Roasted Honey Apple (PvP Hit Chance +90, PvP Critical Hit Chance +90)
