Throne and Liberty, like any other MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game), has some mechanics set in place for when a player dies. Death is inevitable in fast-paced games, and it's usually a sour experience that can levy heavy penalties on the characters like debuffs, loss of abilities and also loss of certain loot items. This is why it is best to be prepared for the worst before heading over to dungeons and boss raids.
Death is mostly an irreversible feature that can lead to permanent loss of resources. However, there are certain methods in place in Throne and Liberty that can minimize this impact. Moreover, there are various zones in the game with different rules, so some regions have a death penalty while others do not.
This article will highlight the consequences of a character’s death in Throne and Liberty.

What happens when your character dies in Throne and Liberty
There are various ways for your character to take damage in Throne and Liberty. Taking more damage than your total pool will result in certain death. This is most common for adventurers who roam the wild and pick fights with the monsters around the world of Solisium.

Upon death, players are teleported to the nearest Safe Zone in the area. The exact location can be different for individuals based on the gameplay content.
Death penalty in Throne and Liberty
The death penalty in Throne and Liberty is quite lenient and is only designed to act as a warning for careless players. Every player who dies will lose a percentage of their Experience Points as punishment. However, this loss of XP is only valid for a limited amount of gameplay. This feature might have been ingrained to help players understand the severity of losing while enabling them to re-enter the battlefield without a long delay.
