The Throne and Liberty Demon's Test Quest can get rather frustrating if you do not have the patience or the penchant for solving puzzles. Unlike your typical hack-and-slash adventures, more brains than brawns will be needed here to tackle the tasks. It will take some time to complete, but the rewards are worth it.
Here's a guide to Demon's Test in Throne and Liberty.
Everything to know about the Throne and Liberty Demon's Test quest
The Throne and Liberty Demon's Test quest has three separate puzzles you need to solve. Each will test your mental skills differently and at times, challenge you as well. Fret not, it's far from being impossible to complete.
That said, to start the Throne and Liberty Demon's Test Quest, travel to the Manawastes Region. Once here, interact with Junobote's Experiment Log to start your adventure. It can be found northeast of Sanctuary Oasis.
Shadow Puzzle (A Horse, an Eagle, and a Sword)
To solve this puzzle, interact with three inanimate objects (statues) that will be placed on pedestals. Their shadows will be cast on a stone wall and overlap to create shapes. Your task will be to use the shadows to create a Pegasus with a horn or a Flying Unicorn, whichever suits your preference of mythology.
Keep the wall on which the shadow will be cast in front of you and turn the Horse until it points West. The same will have to be done with the Eagle. Turn the statue until it resembles the wings on the Horse. You now have a Pegasus.
For the final part of the Shadow Puzzle, rotate the Sword till its shadow falls on the Horse's face. Once done, you will have a horned Pegasus (which is totally inaccurate based on mythology), and complete the first part of the Throne and Liberty Demon's Test quest. Use the Teleport Magic Circle to go to the Music Puzzle.
Music Puzzle (play that funky music)
To solve this puzzle, recreate the melody played by the statue once you interact with it. Each crystal in front of you will have a symbol that corresponds to one of the notes played in the melody. You will have to replay the melody by memorizing the note associated with each symbol and interact with the floating crystals to recreate it (Spoiler alert: this will not be easy).
You have two options for solving the Music Puzzle in the Throne and Liberty Demon's Test Quest:
- Record the symbols as the melody is being played. They're quite visible, and you can use the recording to match the symbols in order by interacting with the floating crystals. If you choose this method, the task will take some time to complete.
- If you want a faster method, interact with the floating crystals from the left in this order: 2, 5, 6, 4, 3, 1, 3, 2
If you don't follow the order, the puzzle will be restarted. To avoid spending too much time, use the second method. There's also a music sheet with symbols you can use as a reference to complete the melody. Once the second phase of the Throne and Liberty Demon's Test Quest is complete, use the Teleport Magic Circle to go to the Giant Golemn Puzzle.
Giant Golemn Puzzle (more like Giant Invisible Golemns)
The last part of the Throne and Liberty Demon's Test quest involves adjusting the highest of Giant Golemns (not to be confused with Gollum). At the time of writing this, the Quest is slightly bugged, and the Giant Golemns may not appear on your screen.
To solve this final puzzle, interact with the floating crystals starting from the left in this exact order: 2, 4, 3, 3, 5, 5
Once complete, interact with the Teleport Magic Circle, which will teleport atop a Gaint Golemn. Now, cross the chasm using these Giant Golemns until you reach the other side. Once there, interact with Junbote's Records to complete the Throne and Liberty Demon's Test Quest.
To summarize Throne and Liberty Demon's Test quest
Find and interact with Junobote's Experiment Log to start Throne and Liberty Demon's Test Quest. Complete the first and second puzzles to unlock the third. Upon completing the third, use the Teleport Magic Circle to teleport atop a Golemn and use the giant statutes to cross the chasm. Interact with Junbote's Records to complete the quest.
