Throne and Liberty Evidence of Corruption Codex quest will make you search the corners of the Temple of Sylaveth for the pages of ancient records, break jars like you're playing Legend of Zelda, and lastly, spawn and kill multiple Dark Specters. On completing this quest, you will receive Sollant and other valuable resources.
This guide shares everything you need to know about the Throne and Liberty Evidence of Corruption Codex quest.
How to complete the objectives in the Throne and Liberty Evidence of Corruption Codex quest
To start the quest, head to the Temple of Sylaveth. You can find it in the north of the Stone Guard Castle. Make sure that your character is at least Level 29 to access the dungeon. However, we recommend being on a higher level than that before making your attempt. The dungeon has two floors, but only the first floor is relevant to this quest.
While the mobs on this floor are lower level, their spawn rate is quite high so there are high chances of getting overwhelmed if this dungeon is attempted solo or under leveled. Once you've done enough grinding and reached an appropriate level or found two friends to join you for the dungeon, find the quest under the Exploration Codex tab in the Stonegard section.
Objectives for the Evidence of Corruption Quest
The quest consists of three objectives that can be completed in any order. These include collecting a page from the collection "Expedition Records: Temple of Sylaveth," defeating Dark Specter three times, and destroying the Jar of the Dead five times.
To complete the tasks, follow these steps:
Destroying the Jar of the Dead
This is the easiest of the three objectives. These jars are small, vase-like objects scattered along the walls and pillars of the first floor. You can destroy them with a single attack once targeted.
Collecting the Expedition Record
To complete this objective, find the Expedition Record from the collection. The record is near the second stone statue on the right side of the first hall of the temple’s first floor. Once you locate it, interact with the item to collect the page.

How to defeat Dark Specter in Throne and Liberty Evidence of Corruption Codex quest
The Dark Specter is the most challenging part of the quest. It doesn't spawn like regular enemies but is instead tied to blue-colored orbs that appear in the temple’s main halls. To spawn a Dark Specter, defeat enough enemies near these orbs to charge them.
Once charged, the blue orb will vanish, and a Dark Specter will appear in its place. The blue is not that common in the dungeon, so you may need to make multiple visits to the dungeon before you get to kill the Dark Specter enough times. While taking down the Dark Specter solo is possible, we recommend taking some allies with you so you don’t get outnumbered.
Lastly, the attack patterns of the Dark Specter are pretty easy to learn and dodge. They use melee attacks with their claws. Use a high damage and tanky build like the Greatsword, Sword and Shield build against them and you can make short work of the Dark Specters.
What are the Rewards for Completing the Throne and Liberty Evidence of Corruption Codex quest?
Each objective within the Evidence of Corruption quest offers separate rewards. Upon destroying the Jar of the Dead, you will receive two Rare Active Skill Growth Books and 16,355 Sollant. Collecting the Expedition Record will reward you with two Rare Active Skill Growth Books and 10,561 Sollant.
