There are two ways to gain access to Taedal's Tower. The first method involves entering the painting in Codex Chapter 3: Veterans Never Die. In this quest, you will have to complete the second level of Taedal's Tower. Once completed, you are free to return to the painting to access the tower when you want.

The second method by which to access Taedal's Tower is via the Secret Dungeon Menu after you initially gain access to it via the painting. This is similar to how you would enter the Cave of Desperation Dungeon to defeat Lacune.

You will need to be level 30 to access Taedal's Tower using the Secret Dungeon Menu, but it is recommended to be at least level 45 before facing Revenger Skeleton Commander. He's not a very difficult boss to defeat, but given the high DPS he tends to deal every now and then, it's better to be prepared for any scenario. Consider using Cooking Recipes to improve the odds.

There are a few things to keep in mind when facing the Revenger Skeleton Commander. He's not the most dangerous boss, but he does hit hard. Understanding his attack pattern will help you strategize better and defeat him easily. Here's a list of them, and how to deal with each one:

  • Fire Circles: One of Revenger Skeleton Commander's abilities is casting fire circles. Goes without saying that not stepping into them is probably for the best. They will inflict DPS and cause you to lose your health.
  • Fiery Shockwave: Given the boss' apparent command over fire, he can summon a Fiery Shockwave. This can be blocked if timed correctly, so it's not a major issue.
  • Leap Attack: Being proficient in melee combat means that the Revenger Skeleton Commander will try his best to close the gap while fighting. If you create some distance between him, he will leap and jump next to use, causing you to get knocked down and sustain damage. Jump to avoid taking damage from him.
  • Phase Two and Fiery Ring: After you defeat the Revenger Skeleton Commander once, he will resurrect and gain full health. No sooner this occurs, a Fiery Ring will begin forming on the edge of the arena and will move inward. Much like the Fire Circles, if you come into contact with it, you will take DPS. Once the second phase is initiated, you should focus on bringing down the Revenger Skeleton Commander will everything you have. Don't hold back on abilities, use them all.
  • Skeleton Minions: The boss will also occasionally spawn Skeletons, but they are fragile. Don't worry about them too much.

If you're rocking a ranged character build, try to keep as much space as possible between you and the Revenger Skeleton Commander. He will still inflict damage, but it will be less than what it would be if you engage him in direct melee combat.
