Throne and Liberty Immortal Guardian (Taedal Floor 16) Boss Mechanics: Attack pattern and special moves to look out for
Basic Attack and Directional Attack: Throne and Liberty Immortal Guardian (Taedal Floor 16) Boss has a nasty Basic Attack which involves the entity swinging their Warhammer about. It deals quite a bit of damage, so be prepared to absorb it as best you can. If you are using a Ranged build, Basic Attacks shouldn't be much of a concern to you. However, this doesn't mean that the boss can't get to you.
In addition to the Basic Attack, the Immortal Guardian will also have a Directional Attack. They will jut their Warhammer outward in a specific direction and deal a lot of damage in a single blow. You can dodge this attack to avoid getting hit.
Hammer AOE Attack: If you are using a Range build, be prepared to deal with an onslaught of Hammer AOE Attacks. The Throne and Liberty Immortal Guardian (Taedal Floor 16) Boss will strike his hammer into the ground, sending out an AOE attack. You will have to jump as he strikes the ground to avoid getting hit. Hiding behind the pillars will not block his attack. Avoid using this strategy.
Fury Attack: Alongside the AOE attack, the Immortal Guardian (Taedal Floor 16) Boss in Throne and Liberty will also launch their Fury Attack. You should block this attack instead of dodging it. You'll gain a slight buff and can use it to your advantage during the fight.
Pillar Camping/Floor AOE: After the Immortal Guardian (Taedal Floor 16) Boss in Throne and Liberty takes enough damage, they will retreat to one of the pillars. Once they are atop a pillar, the arena floor will turn red. This is your queue to get atop a pillar as well. Staying on the arena floor will deal significant damage over time.
To add to the woes, once the Immortal Guardian (Taedal Floor 16) Boss jumps on the pillar, they start healing. To stop them from recovering health, you will have to be on the same pillar and attack them to disrupt the healing process. Be warned that once you attack, they will retaliate. With little room to maneuver, you will have to block attacks or dodge them as best you can.
In this situation, you need to stay calm and keep hitting the Immortal Guardian to finish them off. Do not jump onto the floor as the AOE ability will inflict damage. If you do need to flee, make your way to other pillars and heal yourself, but don't take too long, as the Immortal Guardian will heal. This will prolong the fight to a great extent.
