Throne and Liberty’s Longbow and Staff build is an exceptional one if you’re looking for incredible AOE damage and single-target damage. It has plenty of sustain and doesn’t require you to be anywhere near your targets to devastate them. However, if an enemy gets close, things could get dicey, as this build doesn’t have many escape or melee options.
That said, Longbow and Staff is a fun, dominant PVP build. While it’s a little on the mana-hungry side, mastering it can save your allies and destroy your foes in equal measure. Like all weapon builds, this is not a definitive way to play but is a suggestion of a gameplay style that works for us.
Best skills and specializations for Throne and Liberty Longbow and Staff Healer build
This Throne and Liberty Longbow and Staff build has a solid balance of damaging skills, as well as CC effects. It’s easily one of the most powerful builds you can run in the game. Whether you use Ensnaring Arrow, Ice Spear Bombardment, or Icebound Tomb, pick one of these to lead off with.
You can also swap out Ice Spear Bombardment for Frost Smokescreen, if, like me, you’re bad at using some of your binds. That should give you a proc of Steady Aim, which increases your Critical Hit rate against Bound and Oppressed targets. This lets you light them up safely.
I also recommend waiting to use Decisive Sniping until you’ve bound a target. This is a build where you can be a healer, which means pairing Healing Touch and Nature’s Blessing is a great idea. Below are all the skills and specializations we recommend for this playstyle.
Active skills
- Focused Fire Bombs (Focused Fire Bombs, Able to Move, Projectile Speed)
- Judgment Lightning
- Ice Spear Bombardment (Ice Spear Bombardment, Bind, Damage)
- Icebound Tomb (Bind, Icy Mire)

- Victorious Energy (Base Damage Boost, Victorious Energy)
- High Focus (Base Damage Boost)
- Zephyr’s Nock (Damage)
- Strafing (Gale, Consecutive Use)
- Ensnaring Arrow (Hit Rate)
- Decisive Sniping (Damage, Collection Time)
- Flash Wave (Flash Wave)

Longbow and Staff Skill rotation explained
For the most part in Throne of Liberty, this build relies on the Longbow being the main weapon for Anti-magic Arts (Skill Damage Resist). It should go without saying, but stay at a maximum range at all times to avoid the odds of enemies getting close to you.
Before you dive into combat, I also recommend popping Victorious Energy first to increase your Hit Chance. If things get dicey, one of your only real escapes is Frost Smokescreen. So if someone’s closing in, pop this and get out.
- Longbow (Single Target): Ensnaring Arrow, Strafing, Strafing, Zephyr’s Nock
- Burst/Bind: Ice Spear Bombardment, Judgment LIghtning, Zephyr’s Nock
- Evasion: Icebound Tome, Decisive Sniping or Focused Fire Bombs
- Self-Sustain: Healing Touch, Nature’s Blessing

Best stats to take for Throne and Liberty Longbow+Staff Healer build
Your most important stats on a Longbow and Staff build in Throne and Liberty is Strength, Perception, and a few points in Wisdom. Your stat lines are going to change throughout your gameplay, but Strength, Dexterity, and Perception will likely be your highest throughout the game.
When putting your actual stat points down, don’t push beyond 20 in a stat, unless you need to hit specific markers/breakpoints. In the early game, try to get to 30 Perception between stat points and gear for the Hit, and 30 Strength for the extra health. In the endgame, aim for 60 Perception and 50 Strength.
