Lucent is the premium currency in Throne and Liberty. This MMO is free to play, but as expected of a Korean live-service title, microtransactions are its primary form of monetization. However, Lucent is a little different from the usual premium-only currency concept, in that you can theoretically earn it in-game by selling stuff to other players.

In this guide, we'll outline the most important aspects of Throne and Liberty's premium cash, Lucent.

How much does Lucent cost in Throne and Liberty?

In the Korean version of Throne and Liberty, 120x Lucent will cost 3,300 KRW (Korean Won). This is equivalent to $2.50 or 2.25 EUR, meaning a Lucent is roughly the equivalent of two cents.

There are different amounts of Lucent bundles available in the cash shop, but other than bonus amounts on specific bundles, 3,300 KRW per 120 Lucent is the general formula it follows. Based on this, you can expect about 50 Lucent a dollar.

However, the KRW pricing may not reflect directly to the Global release client, so we'll have to wait and see.

Can you get Lucent in Throne and Liberty without spending any money?

Yes. It's possible to earn Lucent in Throne and Liberty as a completely free-to-play gamer. This is because Lucent is the currency of exchange on Throne and Liberty's Auction House, where all sorts of gears are purchased and sold.

In other words, enterprising players can get coveted meta items with good stats, and list them on the auction. The Auction House system is open to all, so it's possible to do this without ever purchasing Lucent on your own.

The biggest parallel we can draw is with Warframe. Even though the two games have vastly different developmental lineage, the premium currency economy is the same. Much like Warframe's Platinum, any Lucent in Throne and Liberty was purchased by a player—theoretically, there is no such thing as free Lucent.

Other than getting the best armaments from the auction house, Lucent has the usual exclusive value of a premium currency. You can purchase cosmetics with Lucent from the Special Shop, and buy the Premium Season Pass to get goodies out of your playtime in this MMORPG.

How to check how much Lucent you have in Throne and Liberty

Lucent is visible on the top of your menu when browsing the cash shops or Auction House. It's denoted by a triangle icon to the left of your Gold reserves.
