The Throne and Liberty Mage build is one of the best high DPS (damage per second) weapon combo setups for those who enjoset upy ranged play. Since Throne and Liberty has no classes, your combat gameplay is decided by the weapons you choose to bring. Each player can bring two weapons to a fight, which they can swap between freely.
If you enjoy casters in other MMOs or generally enjoy playing from far away in combat-oriented games, then this is a good build for you. You will be able to use this to deal high DPS and provide support for your allies while staying safe from harm. As long as your tank players do their jobs properly, you'll have no problems staying alive and helping out when needed.
In this guide, we explain the Mage build setup in the free-to-play MMO, Throne and Liberty, as well as the optimal rotation.
Mage build in Throne and Liberty
To setup this build you'll need to equip the Staff and Wand weapons on your character. You will want the Staff as your main hand and Wand/Tome as your off hand weapons. Regarding your stats, it is important to have points in Wisdom, as it improves magic damage as well as mana pool and regen.
A big part of playing this build correctly will involve you knowing your strengths and weaknesses to stay alive. Although the Wand/Tome provides good healing, you will still lack amazing defense compared to other builds. If you find yourself cornered by enemies in PvP or taking aggro against a boss in PvE, it won't be long before your on-screen character is killed.

Mage build rotation
Although you can spam abilities off cooldown to play casually, any Throne of Liberty build will deal more DPS with a proper rotation. By following the optimal ability usage, you'll be able to get the most out of their synergies and passives. The following is a good opening rotation when playing this build in PvE content:
Locus > ToD > SFB > SFB > SFB > JL > ToD > JL > TfP > Burst
While there may be better rotation setups for specific fights and group compositions, this is a good generalist opener for PvE. Using your abilities in this order will maximize the buffs you get from High Locus, Touch of Despair, and Time for Punishment. This will help you, especially in solo content, where the glass cannon nature of a Mage build may not give you much time to survive enemies.

High Locus (Locus), Touch of Despair (ToD), Serial Fire Bombs (SFB), Judgement Lightning (JL), Time for Punishment (TfP), Burst Attack (Burst)
