Once you’re ready to fight this challenging boss in Taedal’s Tower, this guide will help you overcome it. Throne and Liberty players have to fight Old Wizard’s Eye alone, but the fight is winnable.

A strong DPS build can absolutely smash through Old Wizard’s Eye in Throne and Liberty, provided you pay attention to his attack animations. He’s got some tells that will make dealing with him remarkably easy. You also want to bring at least one movement ability in this fight. Being mobile is crucial when fighting this floating boss.

When the fight starts, you’ll get a good 5-10 seconds where you can just completely unload on the boss, before it does anything to you. It has quite a few important attacks, the least of these is its Fireball. It doesn’t hit hard, but you can block it with a defensive skill if you’d like.

It also has a full-screen Fury Attack. Look for the Purple Fury Attack icon and block before the ground turns red. Block this on time and you’ll be fine against Throne and Liberty’s Old Wizard’s Eye.

Keep an eye out for circles that pop up on the ground; he’ll use AoE Flame Attacks that you need to keep moving out of. These can hurt, and he’ll do three at a time, so keep running and attacking until this ends.

He can also turn the whole floor red again, and this is a devastating Ground Slam attack. When the boss bobs up and down, jump, and you’ll clear the blast wave easily. However, what comes next is what trips most players up—his Eye Attack. He covers half the ground in red energy; if you’re in it when the casting time ends, you will almost assuredly instantly die. What makes this hard is that you’re slowed while in the red field.

Once this shows up during the Throne and Liberty boss fight, use your movement ability of choice to get out of reach. By now, most players are familiar with instant death attacks in this game; several of the Field Bosses use them.

These are the primary attacks of the Old Wizard’s Eye in Throne and Liberty. With a solid DPS build, you could defeat this boss before he gets a chance to start recycling his abilities, especially if you took advantage of the early seconds of the fight and unloaded with your strongest attacks. Success grants you 49,148 Sollant, 42,052 exp, and the ability to move on in Taedal’s Tower.
