How to start Throne and Liberty Sacred Pledge of Blood quest
The Sacred Pledge of Blood quest begins in Chapter 5 of the main story. You'll start in Vienta Village, where you will be directed towards the Stonegard Castle. Once you arrive there, speak to Jacque Hander, who will give you the quest chain and send you to the Temple of Sylaveth. How to complete the Throne and Liberty Sacred Pledge of Blood quest
After entering the temple, you’ll find yourself in a circular room where you will find Scarla's Ghost. She will tell you to interact with a glowing orb on a pedestal in the center of the room. This will activate the Memory Sign puzzles that lead to the Floating Thought.
How to reach the Floating Thought:
- After interacting with the orb, go south, climb the stairs, and pass through the ghost gate.
- Once through the gate, turn right and head towards the second Memory Sign.
- Once activated, pass through the nearby gate and use your grappling hook to latch onto the red pillar.
- Walk across the first pillar and jump (or use your Glide Morph) to reach the second. Continue jumping or gliding as necessary to clear the gaps.
- After crossing, activate the third Memory Sign, pass through the gate, and grapple to the next red obstacle.
- Finally, after grappling across, interact with the Floating Thought to complete the puzzle.
If you fall during the puzzle, wait for the ghostly platforms to time out before trying again, as this will reset the sequence.

How to defeat Leonardas vampire boss in Sacred Pledge of Blood quest in Throne and Liberty
After solving the puzzle and interacting with the Floating Thought, continue through the temple until you encounter Leonardas, the vampire boss. Here's how to defeat him:
- Leonardas’ attack patterns: Leonardas primarily uses basic dagger strikes and lunging attacks, and he occasionally teleports behind you. Be careful and keep moving to avoid his strikes.
- The Pledge Artifact: During the fight, a red Pledge Artifact will appear. Whenever Leonardas turns into a shadow form, he becomes immune to all damage. To break this immunity, you must interact with the Pledge Artifact.
- Perfect block: Watch for a glowing purple circle to appear during the fight. This signals an opportunity to execute a perfect block, which will reduce damage and leave Leonardas vulnerable to counterattacks.
After defeating Leonardas, the quest ends and automatically unlocks your first Guardian, Vampire Slayer Ezekiel. From this point forward, you can access Ezekiel and any other Guardians you’ve collected through the Guardian menu.
