The Throne and Liberty: The Voice Behind the Mask Exploration Codex is one of the many adventures you can undertake in this sprawling MMORPG. Unlike other Quests that are short and sweet, this one is not. There's quite a bit of footwork involved as well as some combat. It's nothing you will not be able to handle, but it's best if go in prepared for anything.

Interact with the Mysterious Mask

To start the Throne and Liberty: The Voice Behind the Mask Exploration Codex, you must travel to the Sandworm Lair Waypoint located right below the Sandworm Lair Region POI.

The Mysterious Mask is located southwest of the Southern Hatchery. You will find it atop a large rocky bridge. Once you're close enough, talk to him to start the task.

Follow the Light to enter the Unknown Rift

Once you wrap up the conversation with the Mysterious Mask, an orb of pure light will appear. Interact to activate the orb. It will then guide you to the next orb.

At the end of the line, the final orb will lead you to the Unknown Rift. Enter the portal to begin the next phase of the Throne and Liberty: The Voice Behind the Mask Exploration Codex.

Once you're through the portal, things begin to get tricky. You will have to cross a chasm by jumping on tiles. This sounds easy enough, but the issue is that half the ties are real, while the other half are illusions. If you step on an illusion, you will fall, and this segment of the quest will have to be restarted.

One way to circumvent this issue would be to take a screenshot of the pattern of tiles. It will take time to recheck the pattern to ensure you're landing on the correct tiles, but it is a foolproof method for sure. However, if this seems too tedious, you're always free to do accurate guesswork to cross the gap.

Survive the sandstorm

If you thought crossing the chasm while testing your footing on tiles was a challenge, the next phase is even more frustrating as you will be tasked with surviving a sandstorm.

You will be tossed into an enclosed area, and you will have to dodge swirling pillars of sand for 30 seconds. You will not be able to use a Dash Morph to gain a speed advantage, so it is best if you keep a vigilant watch on the entire area and keep moving. Staying in one place will ensure that you get hit by a sand tornado, and the the timer will be reset.

Defeat the Ancient Crystal Scorpion

Once you manage to outlast the sandstorm, the final part of the Throne and Liberty: The Voice Behind the Mask Exploration Quest will start. Interact with another Teleport Magic Circle to be whisked away to face the Ancient Crystal Scorpion.

The enemy in question is not very difficult to defeat. It has a few abilities, like summoning a sandstorm that deals DPS alongside attacks, but nothing too complex.

Just remember to defeat the Desert Exploding Scarabs that it spawns, as you will not inflict damage on the Ancient Crystal Scorpion as long as they are alive.

Read Hale Verpheus's Letter

After you defeat the Ancient Crystal Scorpion, use the Teleport Magic Circle to reach the end area. You will have to read Hale Verpheus's Letter, which can be found upon a rock. With that, you will have completed the Throne and Liberty: The Voice Behind the Mask Quest.
