Throne and Liberty’s Codex system is a crucial part of the game. This is where you can find all of the quests, in-game story chapters, lore, and so much more. It’s a treasure trove of information for players and can't be missed or skipped. That said, it’s always with you in the game, no matter where you go.
As players dive into Throne and Liberty upon the global launch of the MMO, it’s important to know the in-game information. This is where Codex comes in handy. This article explains more about the system.
What does the Codex do in Throne and Liberty?
Throne and Liberty’s Codex system provides information on all storylines and quests in the game. Pressing F10 and then selecting “Codex,” or hitting the “J” key on your keyboard will pull up the Codex. You can peruse its contents by selecting one of the three available tabs.
All of the various chapters of the game are also visible here, along with the quests that you’re currently undertaking. They can also be tracked from this menu. The system is divided into three sections: Adventure, Exploration, and Collection. Each serves a separate purpose and is equally important.
1) The Adventure tab
The Adventure section involves the storyline and what you’re currently working on. You can also pick up your Final Rewards for completing a storyline here if you don’t pick it up elsewhere. You can see all of your current Main Story Quest objectives in this section of the menu.
2) The Exploration tab
The Exploration tab is for the various regional side quests you will pick up as you explore this free-to-play MMO. When you get to a region and activate its Waypoint, this section of the Throne and Liberty Codex will fill up, showing the quests available to you. They will be highlighted in blue text, as opposed to the main story quest’s purple text.
3) The Collection tab
Finally, there’s the Collection section. This is where you find the various lore objects you collect throughout the game. As you explore the various regions, you’ll see pages or books you can interact with. Collecting them will add them to your Collection. This is a great way to learn more about the world that’s been crafted.
