Shotguns in Once Human are one of the best sources of damage that you can have in your arsenal. These short-range, high-damage weapons can level swarms of enemies if you manage to shoot them from close range. Since Once Human has a wide variety of Shotguns it is sometimes difficult to choose the best.

To help you out, in this article, we share a ranked list of the five best Shotguns in Once Human.

Best Shotguns in Once Human

5) ACS12 - Netherworld

Abilities:

  • Landing all projectiles has a 50% likelihood of activating rapid-fire mode.
  • Upon activating rapid-fire mode twice, the subsequent shot will use 1 extra ammo and launch 5 projectiles.
  • Following a full magazine reload, the initial 12 projectiles fired will deal 20% increased damage.

Where to find: Blueprint can be pulled from the Wish Machine.

ACS12 - Netherworld is a weapon for the veterans who know that reloading the gun with bullets still in the mag is a waste of resources. Thanks to its fast gunner ability, this shotgun can deal some serious damage to your enemies, provided you keep hitting and don't unnecessarily reload your weapon after every shot.

The reason for such a low ranking is its inconsistent damage and the need to keep a constant count of your mags.

4) DBSG - Dual Fury

Abilities:

  • The final round in a magazine applies a burn effect, with an extra burn stack if all projectiles connect.
  • Connecting all projectiles 4 times initiates a unique burn state, gradually depleting player health while boosting attack by 20% and increasing vulnerability by 10% for 8 seconds.
  • Hitting burn-affected targets with all shotgun pellets offers a 50% chance to instantly reload 1 shell.

Where to find: Blueprint can be pulled from the Wish Machine.

DBSG - Dual Fury is a fire belcher in the shape of a shotgun. This gun can effectively stack burn damage on enemies when used correctly. This damage over time status effect is quite effective against bosses and enemies with big HP bars.

However, due to its slow reload speed and very short fire range, this shotgun is not consistently effective in Once Human.

3) DB12 - Backfire

Abilities:

  • Striking an enemy 5 times generates a frost vortex.
  • Enemies caught in a frost vortex become immobilized for 3 seconds, with a 4-second cooldown between activations.
  • Attacks against frozen enemies deal 60% more damage.

Where to get: Can loot from crates (Mystic, Weapon) in the Iron River region.

This is one of the best crowd-control weapons in the game. The Frost Vortex ability is very effective against large groups of enemies. Getting the blueprints for this weapon is also relatively easier because, unlike the first two guns, you can get it by farming the Iron River location.

However, this weapon doesn't have much damage potential when compared to other guns in the list and is not very effective against bosses in Once Human.

Abilities:

  • Reloading activates Fortress Warfare, which has a 10-second cooldown.
  • Eliminating an enemy with any damage type increases reload speed by 10% for 5 seconds, accumulating up to 5 times.
  • During Fortress Warfare, critical hit rate and damage reduction both increase by 25%.

Where to get: Blueprint can be pulled from the Wish Machine.

DB12 - Raining Cash is a sword and a shield. This weapon not only deals serious damage to enemies but can also help save your skin in dangerous situations. Thanks to the Fortress Warfare ability, you will get amazing bonuses for crit rates and damage reduction.

The utility of reload speed is a bonus that can be very effective in certain situations. The only drawback of this weapon is its comparatively low damage.

1) ACS12 - Corrosion

Abilities:

  • Hits have a 70% probability of triggering power surge, but won't activate the power surge status.
  • Power Surge can result in a critical hit, with a base 15% critical chance.
  • Each power surge activation increases the power surge critical rate by 15% for 6 seconds, stacking up to 10 times.
  • Power surge damage is enhanced by 15%.

Where to get: Blueprint can be pulled from Wish Machine

ACS12 - Corrosion is a devastating weapon. This shotgun can raze swarms of enemies as well as bosses with ease. It is based on the Power Surge mechanic, which adds shock damage based on the player's PSI power.

You can easily build around this ability, making it more powerful. The only thing that can be considered a drawback is this gun's rarity.
