Vulpecula is a name that was long-forgotten by the Destiny 2 community until recent updates. This Stasis Precision Framed Hand Cannon was released back in Season of the Lost within the Beyond Light expansion three years ago. Currently, the weapon has been getting much spotlight due to its unique perk combination, allowing players to use one of the best utility perks in the game perfectly.
This article lists the best perks to have on the Vulpecula Hand Cannon in Destiny 2, and the sources to get the weapon currently in The Final Shape expansion. Note that Vulpecula is not a craftable weapon, so you do not have to keep Deepsight Harmonizers stored in case you get the weapon as a drop.
The perks provided below are the community's favorite currently, given the majority of the endgame encounter's nature and arena size.
Vulpecula PvE god roll guide in Destiny 2
The following perks are recommended on the Vulpecula for PvE:
- Hammer Forged Rifling for increased Range
- Accurized Rounds for increased Range on the weapon
- Shoot to Loot for picking up ammo from bricks on the ground just by damaging them
- Headstone for spawning a Stasis Crystal on precision hits
Note that shattering the Headstone near an ammo brick will also count towards activating the Shoot to Loot perk. However, if you are comfortable shooting on the bricks, Explosive Payload is a great perk to have on the fourth column as well.
Vulpecula PvP god roll guide in Destiny 2
The following perks are recommended on the Vulpecula for PvP:
- Hammer Forged Rifling for increased Range
- Accurized Rounds for increased Range on the weapon
- Killing Wind for more Range, movement speed, and Handling on the weapon after kills
- Opening Shot for more Range and Accuracy with the first ammo in the magazine.
The trick with this combination is to always reload after either scoring a kill or when the enemy flees from your radar. Every fight should be engaged with Opening Shot being active.
Explosive Payload is another great perk to have in the fourth column.
How to get Vulpecula in Destiny 2 The Final Shape?
Since Vulpecula is a seasonal weapon and is obtainable from Xur, Banshee-44 shop, and Dares of Eternity. Both the Xur and Banshee shop is heavily based on RNG, so it leaves Dares of Eternity as the only farmable source for seasonal weapons from Year 4 and prior.
Dares of Eternity has four rotations in total, with Vulpecula being available in the rotation after Splicer weapons and armor pieces. Hence, keep an eye on the loot each week and you should be able to calculate the upcoming date for Vupecula. If the loots are Wild Hunt armor and Season of the Hunt weapons, Vulpecula should arrive three weeks later.
With the Praefectus armor set, it should be two weeks later. Lastly, if the Lightkin armor set is in the current loot pool, Vulpecula should arrive in the next week. Readers can follow the Dares of Eternity loot table guide for more details.
